Update Since Last Review -I very seldom ever write updates or write secondary reviews from someplace I’ve already reviewed once. However , this update may explain why the long lines and even longer wait periods at this establishment .A visiting family member recently stopped by this place for cigarettes . The cost of cigarettes @ Go Gas is usually cheaper then most convenient stores. When she came back to my home she began telling me about her own experience at Go Gas earlier in the day.She said the lines were very long and she was the 5th in line. As she waited patiently, she watched the cashier open and close the window multiple times. The cashier appeared to be preoccupied and was ignoring the drivers waiting there at her window.Slowly, my family member made her way next in line to the window..My family member waited 15 mins in line and wanted to leave but the cars behind her and next to her had her boxed in, so she waited .When she finally got her chance to purchase cigarettes, the women in the small booth didn’t open the window at first . She appeared to be cleaning something or rearranging items in the store. When the cashier finally opened the window , she apologized profusely for the long wait time . She went on to say that she was trying all morning to get the “GHOST” out of the booth area and was having a hard time. My family member thinking they had just misheard what the cashier said, asked her to repeat it. The cashier repeated it once more a “GHOST” was in the booth area and she wanted it gone and has been trying all morning with no success. My family was caught between helping her or driving out of there ASAP. They chose to get the cigarettes and drive out of there quickly. My family are very gracious people and would help anyone needing it. However, my family opted not to offer any help as their abilities to catch and release “GHOSTS” are not very good. She got her 2 packs of Marlboro Menthol 100’s and got out of Dodge. There was several cars still waiting as my family pulled out of the station and headed south on Long Beach Road. I don’t know what ever happened to the cashier, I don’t know if she ever got the “GHOST” out of the booth area or not.I sure hope she is ok and I wonder if those still waiting in line helped her or not.Do we have a local “ Ghostbusters Team “ ? I don’t know ….I’ve been out of town for 5 weeks and haven’t driven by this place since. Hopefully , all is ok and the cashier got help mentally and or physically to remove the GHOST..

15-20% of the pumps are inoperable. Out of non-ethanol premium. Tap to pay doesn't work. Why is there so much difference from the GOGAS in Southport?

Excellent place to get non-ethanol gas to fill up your boat. Best prices that I saw from Southport to Southern Pines, NC.

You pump your gas with a debit or credit card and drive off or you pump with cash and drive up to the window to pay it was really neat

Let’s face it, this is a drive through gas station . You either pay at the pump or at the drive through window .The items they sell are routine drinks and snacks . They also sell all brands of cigarettes.I had been going there for years .,I knew most of the employees who worked at the drive through window .They were fast and efficient and never any lines to wait in. One particular employee , I think his name was Grady .was working most of the times I went.I always enjoyed seeing him and chatting for a minute and never ever had a line. Then, one day as I drove up to the entrance I saw a long line of cars waiting to drive up to the window. My first thought was “I hope everything is ok” it was so unusual to see long lines . So I waited and waited. When it was my turn to drive up to the window , no one was there. Now I knew there was someone in there. I beeped my horn , I yelled out “hello” And I began to worry. Finally an older woman with grayish hair appeared from the back room.I was so happy to see someone and that they were alive and wellI didn’t know at this time , but my pleasant experiences @ Go Gas ended at that very moment.Grady is no longer working there and my experience’s at Go Gas started to remind me of the movie “Groundhog Day”Most of the times I went, the same lady was working . You could always tell she was there because of the long lines. Sometimes there would be 7-8 cars just waiting. On the days , the line was shorter or no one was in line but me. The same woman wasn’t there again I don’t know what’s in the back of this store but this woman is there every chance she gets.On one occasion as I was pumping gas, I watched several people attempting to pump gas and seemed frustrated. I thought they were having issues with the card readers so I offered my help. No, it’s not the pump it’s the cashier inside, we have been waiting for the employee to turn the pump on . I watched them as they continued pressing the pay inside button with no response. Finally each one of them abandoned their cars at the pump and walked up to the window. I heard them calling into the window and watched as they kept yelling and knocking. I yelled out to them, keep yelling , she is most likely in the . back somewhere .Don’t know what’s in the back room but what ever it is , this woman enjoys the atmosphere. I suspect she may be asleep some times because she seems a little disoriented when she re-emerges.It’s so frustrating and unpredictable that I actually skip this place now and drive over to Murthy’s across the street from Walmart . It’s a few miles out of my way but no long lines , no slow service and ABSOLUTELY no “Houdini” like disappearing acts.

Easy ingress/egress. Always clean. Rarely a wait for a pump. Easy access for trailered boats, etc. Ice machine, lots of soft drink vending machines. Can pull up to the window to pay and purchase snacks, etc.

Never had a problem here. Too bad gas prices are so high. Not their fault....we know who.
