We've been here twice, and to have walked out with armloads of stuff both times. Incredible assortment of vendors, antiques, and slightly more contemporary items. Every time we are in Southport we stop in, and never fail to find something we want.

The front door has a sign which says "service dogs only." My mother has a registered service dog who she takes everywhere and she (the dog) wears a vest to signify that she is an SD. We couldn't even get in the front door and the owner immediately stopped us and said "no dogs!" I explained it's a service dog (pointing to her vest) and she looked at us in doubt and laughed (which was very frustrating). Service dogs are NOT just for the visually impaired, they also provide many other critical emergency signaling to otherwise "healthy" looking individuals, so the owners immediate look doubting it was jarring. Add to her look she asked to see the dogs "papers" (again, acting like we were making this up). I was immediately angry and she backed off and said "it's fine but you have to hold her, she is NOT allowed on the floor. DO NOT put her on the floor." Again, this is insane behavior, and against ADA. To force someone to HAVE to hold their SD is absurd, but I was a good sport and helped my mom. In the end we left after 2-3 mins, mostly feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Considering this store had a specific sign on the door saying "service dogs only," this was unacceptable on all counts. They were rude and treated my senior mother like a liar and a problem. I'm sure they have good sellers and shops but sadly the owners ruined it. Shame on you

Pickle forks! It's a Southport thing. Northrop mall is a collection of makers, restorers, and collectors who have spaces to market their talents. It's never the same, there's always something new to see, touch, and buy.
It could be a book, a record, a wood plane, an antique golf club; there's something that will interest everyone. The staff are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is cozy, browsing is at your own pace, or the staff will help you find whatever you're looking for quickly.
Parking can be tricky during high tourist season, but there are alternatives to the main street parking and easy access through the alleys and side streets.

Loved exploring this "antique mall". It is a large building that hosts different vendors. Some interesting finds...something for everyone! Worth the visit!

I was in here August of 2022 on vacation and was treated horribly by an older man at the register, blatantly telling me to "hurry up" and saying "today ma'am" when a young woman was already in line in front of me, completely disregarding her. If that wasn't enough for me to turn around out the door, I followed through with my purchase when the man accused me of fraud as I was paying with my debit card. He asked for my ID and I happily handed it over to prove that it was indeed my card. He insisted it was not my card because I did not "sign my debit card" despite the names matching up entirely with my ID and debit card. He insisted on not accepting any of my cards. I decided to pay with cash despite the disrespect. Overall I loved the selection of items and that's what led to my return in August 2023, I did not expect to be treated with such disrespect upon my return. As I am ready to pay for my new found treasure the older lady at the register greeted me with such distain. I believe these people are insanely ageist and do not respect or care for the business from the younger generations. I myself work in customer service as well and can understand having bad days but these people are incredibly rude to their customers.

Such a cool store. There a several booths from various vendors and you can find a good mix of antiques and vintage.
