I’ll tell you what. I have great customer service every time I deal with Savannah. Great prices too. There are actually good deals to be had at this establishment. Different things are added all day long. Doesn’t matter what time you go, heck go twice in one day, you’ll find something new. The entire team keeps it movin

Contacted Habitat to pick up a several old items after my mother passed away last year, furniture was pretty rough, but I was told it was fine, "you'd be surprised what we take" . Scheduled last week for a 5 year old sofa with a pick in the cusion, the boy had been here before, he reluctantly walked up on the porch, unwrapped the sofa and pointed to the pick and says yea I'm going to pass. Take it to the road or call salvation army! I was not happy, especially since they were explicitly told prior. I won't donate anything else there ever again. I was trying to recycle, but apparently if it doesn't come in brand new condition its not worth lifting anymore. Got to keep up appearances I guess.

A limited variety of clean items for sale. Very friendly sales staff. This used to be one of the best Restores in NC, however it was rearranged after Christmas this year and is not worth going to. Many categories of items are no longer in the store. The store has more furniture than anything else. The prices are not reasonable any longer. We are no longer donating at this site because of the prices. I have overheard several people in the area voicing these same complaints. A perfect thing does not need to be changed.

Insanely overpriced. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because it was neat and well organized.

SOUTHPORT,NC RESTORE REVIEW
The people waiting for houses are being cheated. Profits that should go to build new homes is walking out the door with volunteers and employees. Some resale for their own profit.
It's difficult to find anything of much value anymore.
They take down my comments on their site. But I have something that the public need to know.
I feel cheated and so should you.
Is this the way all non profits operate?

Nice people along with lots of choices. I don't think it is overpriced. Items are donated and on the floor within a few hours. They also have truck pick up and delivery.

Decent store, employees were fine but the prices were stupid high, a lot higher than other area stores. $25 for used circuit breakers, $150 for a beat up countertop. I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here, price differential isn't worth it.

King of the Shlock! One of my favorite pastimes when traveling or having free time is finding the local thrift stores. I remember when I was a singer on Holland America back in the '80s and we would stop every two weeks in Vancouver. I found an amazing steamer trunk in fabulous condition that must have been from the 30's or 40's. I put wheels on that baby and carted her around with me for years when I entertained. I remember when I was playing Billy Bigelow in Carousel in a summer stock in Pennsylvania and the local thrift store in Mansfield had a mink coat for $10. I bought that coat and tried to butch it up and wear it around. It still looked like I was wearing a butched up woman's coat! I eventually gave it away but had fun wearing back in the days when it was stylish and acceptable. To this day I have a fantastic tweed wool winter coat that I found in a thrift store in the east village in New York. That baby has saved my ass in the worst storms. To this day I wear her wear her whenever it's cold. And so, even as I spend my leisure time down on Oak Island in 2023, I still hit the local thrift stores, except now I call them "schlock" stores which my mother nicknamed them. Schlock is the Yiddish word for junk or crap and that's what my mother thought about all of that. She always liked things brand new having come from a family during the depression, where instead I love to find a bargain and something that's quality but broken in. I would have to say from all of the schlock stores in the Oak Island/ Southport area, my favorite is Habitat for Humanity Store. Although they don't have clothes, there, their offerings of furnishings and bedding and sports equipment and kitchenware, etc. is pretty outstanding and well priced Just this past weekend I stopped by and found a wonderful black briefcase for my work for $8 and a colorful outdoor tablecloth for my back porch for $4. I see so many things there that I want, but I have no floor space or wall space left in my house. If I buy something, something else is going to have to go, and that's a tough one for me when most of the things in my house are from family heirlooms or things I really like. In the meantime, it's a relaxing way for me to spend an hour or two, and over the years I have found wonderful things at habitat for humanity. Check out their specials. When I was there Saturday, everything was 50% off! I don't think I could ever go back to paying full price for most things ever again lol. I may not be a child from the depression, but I was the child of a woman who was a child during the depression and so my frugality lives on! Next time you are visiting Oak Island or Southport stop by the habitat for humanity store. The staff is lovely and welcoming, the offerings are plentiful and well priced, and their men's bathroom is the biggest bathroom I have seen anywhere! Lol Happy Hunting!

To further add to the staggering 1 star reviews; i agree. Do not support this business. We pulled in with a truck load of donations (head board and light fixtures). Unbeknownst to us we were there 6 minutes before they opened 8:54 (but the chain was down and all the lights were on). Two employees staggered out of the donations drop off door. They didnt say hello or good morning just “not open”. They then proceeded to ignore us and get in there truck and leave. They did mention that all donations had to be approved for acceptance and that they wouldnt look at our or call some one else to. They then just left while we were still talking. Will not be going back. Habitat for humanity (a once great organization) needs to learn its place. This is no way for a non profit donation driven organization to work. We will not be supporting this place further. If anyone wants our headboard and light fixtures they can be found down the street at the salvation army. Im certain former President Carter would be ashamed of whats become of this organization.
