They have a variety of items - from water colors to acrylics to pottery and crochet and sewn. Even if you just stop in to take a look, this is worth the trip!

Great place! All original art by local Artisans including pottery, paintings, photography, textiles, wood working and more. Not for profit run by the artists themselves. Good prices and lovely folks. Art changes monthly.

What a wonderful local Gallery. It is full of paintings, photography, jewelry, woodworking and other art medium. Great for gifts too. "Artisans Gallery on Howe" has all local artists and there are always artists in the Gallery to chat with and learn about art pieces. They also give great tips for spots to visit in Southport. The Gallery is located in a historic Southport home so if you are curious about old homes, this is one you can visit! It is perfectly located across from a wine tasting place and close to the water, right near Oliver's Restaurant. Oh and along with other art galleries in town, Artisans Gallery on Howe participates in First Friday Art Walks each month!

Amazing gallery right downtown. Best part is that on the First Friday event the artists priced pieces at reasonable prices. Found this beautiful memory from a great beach trip.

I bought a small table at the Artisans Gallery. After having it in my new home I realized that it wasn’t the right fit. I returned to the store where I was told there is a 24-hour return policy. This was never mentioned when I purchased the table (and a lovely painting.) There were no signs posted about the policy and I was not told about it by the two lovely women who had assisted me. I was told by the President of the association that this is the policy and there was nothing I could do. I tried to repeatedly explain that there was no way of my knowing about their policy. I will not return to the Artisans Gallery. How would one know about the 24-hour return policy if there were no signs and no information given by the clerks. ?
