Nice setting. A bit pricey, and the course not in great shape for the price.

Yeah, this might be the best thought out golf concept I've ever come across. 13 tee box options! Pick your tee box by your driving distance and you'll have a fun round for sure. Very accurate. Nice elevation changes and the fastest greens I've played in the Pinehurst area so far.

This is an amazing club open to the public in Pinehurst area. The greens are FAST. It’s a very playable course for any skill level but it has some teeth. More than that, the staff and members are incredibly friendly and welcoming.

I’m not sure what all the hoopla is about this course. Property is nice, but the course is mediocre at best. To start, the price was $115, not including range balls. Range is off of mats and not grass tees. There is a recommended tee range on the driving range which is just stupid. It doesn’t work. Your game is not just about distance. There is course management and control that play a big factor. There was no starter at the first hole and confusion as to who was supposed to be on the tee. Course is very easy. Lots of par 3’s and basic driver/wedge holes. I shot one of my lowest rounds there due to the ease. If you desire a more challenging course, this is not it. Some tees are extremely close to the previous hole and people hitting off the tee. We was paired with two younger guys that decided to bring their two drunk party girlfriends that absolutely would not shut up. We gave up with them after 7 holes and told them that we will just wait back and let them go ahead. For the amount of money we paid to play, I would expect a bit more enforced golfing etiquette from the club house. They let them rent an extra cart for the drunk girls. Greens are fairly soft and can hold the green with a wedge. They ran true, but looked painted. Carts are comfortable and found gps to be accurate and quite detailed. Although, I wish the usb ports were operational. There is no drink cart that comes by and the food at the bar is quite expensive. I played River Ridge the day before and paid less than half the price and had double the fun. I found the course to be in much better condition as well. For the money, I just can’t see myself golfing here again. I expect more for the money.

We have been to Longleaf twice. Once for Red, White and Blue and once for USkids worlds. We had an amazing experience both times. The staff is very accommodating to the youth golfers. Everything is easy to get to in Pinehurst so there should be no problems getting around. We can’t wait to get back out there. We are looking at camps at the academy this coming fall.
