Called in pick up order they said they had no whole chicken's left told me to wait 10 min. 40 min later still don't have my chicken. Went in they had some on shelf with peps name on them.!! Not mine! Here it is 2 oclock still no chicken

Food Lion is a friendly neighborhood food market. The prices are relatively high, but it seems that this is the case with most food markets. Walmart is cheaper by a few cents per item , but the drive time, gas, and long lines at Walmart are just not worth the difference in prices. No lines at Food Lion, staff are friendly. and you can self check out without worrying about getting arrested at Walmart for an honest mistake which has been reported according to some news sources. One star off Food Lion for prices.

There should be someone on the register at all times not two employees standing in the self check out area. No way you can expect every customer to be able to handle self check out (disabilities, etc) smh!!

Food Lion of Smithfield! This is one of the Great store to shop on my list. Every time I shop here this store is very clean and organized. The bakery/deli area always has fresh and made to order items to browse through. I recently noticed they started to have a little hot bar with various meals to go, mostly chicken and a few other items. They do also carry rotisserie chicken which is nice if you need a quick meal for the family at home. They do have a nice supply of deli meats and cheeses, over all this section of the store is very nice. The meat department is always well stocked and usually has some kind of special. I hardly ever see any empty slots or holes when I shop in this section the meat racks and cooler areas are full, for the most part a very presentable clean area. The produce area as well seems very nice, clean and organized. Overall the store as a whole is very well maintained and managed. The staff are always nice, friendly and professional. A lot of the people who work here seem to take pride in their work and enjoy their job for the most part. I really can't say anything negative about this store. Overall you guys do a great job and keep up the good work.

I called the deli on Sunday April 7, 2024 to ask some questions about placing and order and the person that I was talking with has no customer service and really didn't want to help me at all. She acted like I was inconvenicing her. I will continue to go to Selma and deal with Marie and her team. They are awesome.
