Edited on September 9th 2024 to say: Service has really gone down hill. I took Brandy in on June13th 2024 and walked out due to some serious issues. I will leave my Facebook review here:
Edit to Add: I DO get that emergencies come in, but COMMUNICATE that to your scheduled clients so they know what's going on. The receptionist should know that and pass that info while checking in people. Just FYI.
Warning: Looooong post alert, but important to read. I honestly don't know where to start with this post. So, I'll just start at the beginning.
A few years ago I decided to try Tysor Veterinary Clinic. I was glad I did. Caring, inexpensive, willing to work with their clients if needed. Small place with tight quarters, but that was ok. Very busy as she also helped with a lot of rescues and such. Again, ok, no problem. Fast forward to the last couple of years and well, things seem to be going downhill. Even when you make an appointment you're just sitting there waiting and waiting. Still sitting outside in your vehicle, even though you know what is over. The last two times I have called in Brandys Phenobarbital for her seizures...it has taken them a FULL week and me calling them THREE different times before they get it called in to the pharmacy. The first time...they claimed they had, the pharmacy didnt have a thing. Sooo, that third time i SAT at the pharmacy myself and waited for my prescription to be called in. They call the pharmacy to tell them they would FAX the prescription...they fax it, and the pharmacy could not fill it because Dr.Tysor had not signed off on it! The PHARMACY had to CALL the vet office to get the prescription! I was literally sitting there the WHOLE time. I heard it all go down. Fast forward again to today...my appointment was at 3:20, I arrive by 3:03...mind you, it's an hour and 8 minute drive to get there. I park and the lady beside me was already waiting with her dying cat in the parking lot. Now, I assumed she meant the cat had an illness or something, not that it was literally dying as we spoke. I walk in today because frankly, I'm tired of not being in the room with my dog. People are now allowed back in the lobby, finally. The receptionist is on the phone with a client gathering info, ok, fine...no acknowledgement that I had walked in, but that's ok, she's on the phone. I stood there probably 5-10 minutes before another lady walks out and asked if I had been checked in. No. She proceeds to LOOK for my chart. (Ummm, why weren't all the scheduled charts pulled for the day?) So, she gets me checked in and I step outside to sit on the bench by the door cause it's a tad full inside, plus there are two big boxes sitting in the client's seating area. I sat outside at least another 20 minutes with no one looking for me. In the meantime, the lady I parked beside comes walking up to the door with her cat that is literally dying in the parking lot. ?? The poor cat was literally losing bodily fluids. The one tech I typically see(and I do really like her) she brings the lady a towel to wrap the cat in and let's her know it has passed, but as she's walking back out the door the cat is taking its last breaths. Whyyyyy did this doctor not take this cat and owner to the back IMMEDIATELY and humanley euthanize the cat. They let the lady walk BACK to her car ALONE with the cat in her arms, visibly upset. I left. I have never in my 42yrs and yall that know me, know what I've done in the animal field, I have NEVER seen anything so heartless and cold. The office calls me while I'm driving home at 4:29!! I'm just dumbfounded right now. ?
Tysor's care is very through and less expensive than most places for the same quality of care. I drive just over an hour to bring Brandy here and I can't thank them enough for all they do.

My daughter passed away and I am caring for her dogs and she always took her dog to Dr Tysor . This morning Alexis who answered the phone wouod not even attempt to make an appointment for him over a possible eye infection and ear infections which they have treated him for in the past and he’s prone to . She said they didn’t treat eye infections ( not even sure he has one ) Alexis did suggest I take him to another vet and she sent me his records . I did ask Alexis to have Dr Tysor call me .

I set up an appointment on the Pet Desk app. I arrived at 9 a.m. and they could not find the scheduled appointment. It was confirmed on the app. I wasted gas and time. I drove from Chapel Hill, NC. I will not be going back there. I scheduled this appointment back in January 2024. And May 4th was the only availability at the time . Then they stated on the phone no walk-ins, I had a scheduled appointment. I will find another Vet closer to my Home!!

Dr Tysor is truly a caring and thorough veterinarian. My dog was treated with concern and competency.

This is a great place both the staff and especially Dr.Tysor actually care about the animals instead of just what they can make on it. Their prices are fair and enables people that don't have much to afford to go the extra mile for their fur babies instead of just the bare minimum

Doc and her employees are the best, prices are fair, and they really help you understand what is going on with your pet, they always follow up with you to keep you up to date on what’s going on and to check on your pet after a procedure. Great great people couldn’t be more thankful for all their help over the years
