Please DO NOT buy a car from this person!! My cousin traded a very well maintained van to get a van with a ramp plus money and now the van is falling apart!!! My cousin can't walk without help because of a crippling disease and needed this van to be able to get around!! I pray this man will do the right thing and make this right and if he does I will remove this post and update my review!! Karma isn't fun when it goes against someone taking advantage of people!!

Connie Lainez bought a handicap accessible van for her grandson from JR’s Auto Sales in Shelby. She filed a complaint with the North Carolina Department of Justice claiming the car was falling apart after only her second time driving it.
That’s why they bought the van from JR’s Auto Sales. But Lainez says on her first trip back from Duke warning lights started flashing in the car.
“When we got back here my son saw pieces laying under the van so we took it to the garage and they put it up on ramps and the whole frame rusted out,” Lainez said.
WBTV called JR’s Auto Sales and spoke with someone claiming to be the owner.
He told us that the car passed safety inspection but he refused to provide WBTV with the paperwork.
He insisted that he hasn’t done anything illegal.
As it turns out, in North Carolina rust is not a factor in safety inspections.

The man who owns this business is a fraud and a scam. He sold my younger brother a White Ford Ranger and claimed that it had no issues....well guess what. We had to replace the ENGINE AND the ALTERNATOR within 2 months of buying it. This man is a liar, a cheat, and should be run out of business. JR's uses deceptive advertising to get junk cars off of their lot as soon as possible and then MULTIPLE people who bought vehicles here have them wind up in a local repair ship (Peeler's) to be specific.... shortly after buying. There's a reason cash is king, don't buy cheap, and don't EVER buy from JRs. Not trust worthy, not fair, and not looking out for people. Shame on this business! -One mad older brother.

I asked him over the phone if the heat and air worked and did it have any leaks and he said everything works no leaks. He said the checked everything. He lied to me. I told him ill be driving from South Carolina with an elderly lady that wanted the 13, 500 dollar van . He assured me it had no leaks. We got a cashier check and took the trip. The air conditioning didn't work and it was leaking from 2 different areas. We looked at 2 other vans and they both had major problems. He's is a liar and a crook.

I have worked with him twice and he is absolutely amazing to work with! He will work with you and help you in any way he can! He knows his job and goes out of his way to help you with picking up or dropping off of vehicles! If you need a handicap accessible vehicle I would highly recommend to go here and he will do you right!

JR is a man of his word. He delivered the van to us, 4 hours away! We bought it sight-unseen. A very fair price... and believe me, I had searched the entire east coast. - I am a mechanically knowledgeable auto buyer and the van was EXACTLY as JR had described it.

Pretty good experience. The sale was pretty straight forward. We texted and called regarding any questions we had about the van before we drove the 3 hours. He couldn’t guarantee a hold on the van for us, but we still took the ride to Shelby. We got there, test drove, went to the bank, and everything went well . He doesn’t offer warranties, sadly. We bought the vehicle on Thursday and the driver side window control went out on Sunday. We understood all our risk before purchasing the vehicle. The van is still in pretty good condition and we will get the window control fixed easily, no biggie. Buying used vehicles come with risk so just do your due diligences and exam the vehicles, that’s for anything dealership. My mom loves her new van, and the ability to get out and shop more lol. Thanks JR’s auto sale.12/10: Corrections, nothing was wrong with the window lol . I guess we pressed the wrong buttons, and now it works as of now.
