I hate to do this, but I have no other choice. I booked my room through the Hilton app, which charged me for the room when i booked. When I checked out, the hotel charged me again. That was almost 30 days ago. I made several phone calls, was told it was refunded, but still no refund. Makes me question everything. Watch your CC bills.
Update
Hilton refunded, but not the Hampton in Shelby. They tried calling several times while I was on the phone with Hilton and they couldn't get an answer. Hilton needs to run an audit on this location and maybe do some re-training with their staff. It is falling short of the standards I normally see with the Hilton brand.

Jennica was exceptional. I had been on the road all day. She was able to get me a room. Check in was hassle free. After check-in and getting to my room. She checked with me to make sure I had everything I needed. All the other staff that I talked with were just as friendly and helpful. All treated me like family. The good side of the family. Thank you!

Reservation type was not honored (had booked a handicapped accessible room for my wheelchair using husband). Was told that wasn’t what I booked (even though clerk assured me at first that it was a handicapped room). Then later changed story to say it was hearing impaired room (it wasn’t). Would not move us. To avoid further conflict, he had to use lobby bathroom. No paper towels. Reported it. Never resolved. Still no paper towels at check out. Even though we told them again. Asked for manager. He would not come out and speak with us. Asked for him to call us. He did not.
Was told we would get points for inconvenience. That’s not acceptable. I didn’t want points. What I wanted was $$ off room that did not match what we booked. Terrible customer service. Corporate office needs to look into this hotel management and employees.

Most important valued in all business is the customer service: if you agree, here is my story: made me feel really hopeless and intimidated during the stay. Kept communicating by text and justifying why my room was not cleaned up, also couldn’t deliver the towels to my room, so my mother (90 y/o senior) and I had to carry 10 clean towels to our room due to cleaning services team leaving without cleaning the room. Really sad and frustrated staying at this Hotel. Corporate management should take at correctional behavior counseling for customer services strategies and review the core values upon hiring people. Corporate chain in decadence.

Maddison, Jennifer and Kelli are simply the BEST!!! They should be known as Ambassadors instead of front desk. They check in everyone with a smile and pleasant welcoming voices. They care that every guest have a pleasant stay and do everything to make sure. By then of our 4 night stay I felt they were more like family than Hilton employees. My husband and I can’t say enough about them. Can’t wait to be back next Labor Day weekend for Shelby Hamfest to see my new family. Thank you everyone at the hotel for everything you are all super stars!!!!!!!!

4 stars , what i expect from a brand that i am loyal too. Place smelled very clean and everyone was constantly cleaning. Would recommend if you were in the shelby area. Will stay again.

Stayed here for the American Legion Baseball World Series. Very nice hotel and right across the parking lot is the Cleveland Mall as well as several restaurants. Nice work out room with multiple treadmills with a cable machine and dumbbells to 60 lbs.
Rooms: We had a suite during our two-week stay in Shelby. Very spacious. Good desk space and plenty of storage/ closet space as well.

Hampton Inn & Suites in Shelby, NC, is a gem! The staff goes above and beyond to support the American Legion World Series, treating the team with exceptional hospitality. The clean, comfortable rooms and complimentary breakfast make every stay enjoyable. Their commitment to the community and excellent service truly stand out! Front desk staff are truly amazing.
Rooms: The rooms are typical of the Hilton chain. They are spacious, clean, well equipped, and quiet. I believe that the beds are the most comfortable in the industry.
Safety: While somewhat setback from the highway the area is well lit and safe.
Walkability: There are many shopping opportunities just across the parking lot.

Front of the house was very clean and tidy, well laid out. Room was a little on the smaller side, but for one night, it was exactly what I needed. It was well laid out clean, and the air conditioning worked great. Overall, no concerns with this location and I will stay here again. Thank you Hampton Inn in Hilton for always providing a nice place when I have to travel.

I was hesitant to book with a 2 star but it was just a quick overnight stop. I was very pleased and can't understand why only a 2 star rating. The personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was better than most 4 stars ..breakfast was hot and varied the hotel was spit spot
