I stopped shopping at Walmart pretty early into the whole Covid-19 stuff due to empty shelves, staffing issues, parking and limited entrances. I started going to a local grocery store instead. I decided to give Walmart's order/pickup option a try today. I Selected my pickup time, added items to my cart, checked out, app told me $$ would be put on hold until final check out at store, got the text telling me pending $$$ was placed on my CC. Then the app said my pick up time later today had already expired and to pick another time slot. I did and continued with my day. No updates received later so I checked app to find I had no orders. I logged into the website to find all my items still in the cart. So I called the store only to find out they had no order for me. So long Walmart. Just not worth the hassle!!

Eric at the front door, is a joke. Threw a fit that I won't let him physically touch my receipt to scan (we're in virus epidemic). No I don't want the one person touching everyone's belonging to touch mine. He proceeded to start taking my purchased items out of my cart. I then asked for a manager. Eric, call me a DICK, after he accused me of using a fraudulent receipt because his machine wasn't working properly. USER ERROR. Loose the power trip... you're working the front door a****** Takes his job far too serious for being a greeter

I get the whole self check-out idea. I actually love it. What I don't like is when you have an issue like age check and there isn't anyone around to take care of it. If you can't maintain something, don't use it.

My wife and I shop at the Shallotte, NC Walmart often. We have found that the personnel in this store are friendly, attentive and helpful if we need it. The store is always clean and well stocked. While they have several self checkout areas, they also have attended cash registers where they will check you out. It seems to be popular with a lot of people to trash Walmart and speak with an elitist attitude about it. I'll bet most of them actually go there on occasion anyway. Keep up the good work Shallotte Walmart!

The use of profanity is not allowed in previews. That puts an extreme handicap on expressing my opinion of this Walmart. I haven't found any business that cares less about customers or providing service. I would go thru the whole ordeal, but let's just say the person in the deli slicing meat must have the drive and Intelligence of a slug.

Somewhat typical Walmart. The shoppers make or break any Walmart experience. This one wasn't disappointing!

I really want to thank Brendan in the Photo / Electronics department for going "above and beyond" to assist me on an online order for one hour services. There was a system problem and one of my photos was not printed. Fortunately, I checked the envelope before leaving and he was quick to remedy the situation and I had the correct order in ten minutes. The four star rating is for system error as the confirmation clearly showed the correct order. The service was five star for Brendan. There was a woman working in the department who was somewhat dismissive and rude when I politely pointed out the error but thankfully the young man understands customer service.

This place is on the ropes. Customer service line is back to back. there are 4 registers but only one is open with a woman who could care less. and if she was any slower she would be stopped. There is another woman wandering around like she is helping but is doing nothing behind the counter. The customers look at each other in disbelief because of LACK of service.
