“Home Depot in Shallotte. I’ve recently moved to the area and have never experienced a Home Depot like the one in Shallotte. I’m made to feel like I’m in a local hardware store - I know the names of employees (Stephanie, Connor) who go out of their way to make you feel like a special customer. Stephanie in particular (sold me washer, dryer and refrigerator) goes above and beyond to engage, guide and advise. And does so in a way that’s very conversational and unrushed.

Even a stranger in the parking lot helped with a tie down when he saw me having a problem with it.

I’ve been to many Home Depot stores in Massachusetts (my old home state) and I don’t remember much about them except that they are big and unfriendly places.

“I stopped in to this location yesterday. We have a duck who has bumble foot. I don’t know what that is but was hoping the staff here would. I was greeted with a smile by Hannah who called for assistance. Dusty came quickly and we began the search for a product that he knew was on their shelves. He asked Krissie for clarification and we were able to find that product they were looking for. They also assisted me in finding some duck “treats” - who knew?!?! My experience here was so much more pleasant and profitable than I expected. These employees definitely went above and beyond. A+++”
