Awesome place to see the neuse River especially when it's flooded. Big park lots or trails to choose from. In the summer definitely bring bug spray.

Great place to visit and picnic. Too bad the swimming area is closed due to staffing problems.
Picnic area: We had a great lunch with friendly squirrels
