The employees were extremely helpful in finding what we needed, the bathroom was clean, all the shelves were organized, and they had an overall good selection of goods throughout the store.

The only saving grace is Gary is determined to use as many $5 coupons as possible on Saturdays. He'll even split up your order stopping every $26 to use another (no matter how long it takes).The rest of the week he just calls the cops on you randomly, saying you're rude and look "urban"..... this store needs a shrink, just drive the five mins any other direction. Those stores bother to stock the shelves rather than the floor.

This is the best Dollar General around. I may have to go several extra miles to get to this one, but it's well worth the trip! Having a Piggly Wiggly next door is just a bonus treat!

It is truly a pleasure to shop in our DG in Scaly Mountain NC and that is due to the amazing job Gary and Rocky are doing to keep the store organized and very clean. Thank you to both Gary & Rocky. PLEASE patronize our local DG & let the home office know what a great job these two men are doing.

This store is fabulous, really neat, and extremely well stocked. Having this store here is like having a grocery store except without fresh vegetables. It is a thousand times better than it used to be before the latest manager and assistant manager took over several months ago. Now the assistant manager is running the store and doing an exceptional job. His work ethic is above reproach and really seems to know what he is doing. The best thing is that the store is now always open for consistent hours which is really important to the people of Scaly Mountain.

Easily the worst Dollar General I've ever been to. Hours are extremely inconsistent. One month they'll open at 8 am. Then they'll open at 7:30 am. You never know when this damn store is going to be open. I've also seen them closed in the early afternoon. Prices of products on the shelves don't match the prices when the products are rung up at the register.

This place is the definition of a $&@!hole…weekend hours are from 2 PM to 6 PM! During the week you just have to cross your fingers and hope they’re open, They’re too lazy to even put a sign on the door! how is this place even still open..Do not waste your time driving to this store! If you do get in there it’s usually impossible to even walk down the isles because it is cluttered with so much merchandise that has not been put up on the shelf. Disappointing

Can't even keep the posted reduced hours. Yet again. This store needs to close, because it's not deserving of staying in business. I know I'll never waste another moment stopping there.

I'm glad they finally got people to work there but lately the store has been closing at random times. They don't put up a sign letting customers know they "had to close" and the last time we were there an employee was walking in her socks up and down the aisle. There was a young man there who I believe does not work there giving us an explanation why the store closed at 5pm.
