Five stars, all for Jenny Lewis! But the ballroom is great too.

Located within a small shopping lot with some delicious restaurants and great views all around.
Great venue for a smaller show, feeling both roomy and intimate.
Note that the only "permanent" seats are the balcony ones, by the back of the ballroom.

This is an amazing venue and you should see a show here if you get the opportunity!

I love this venue, but PLEASE stop stamping the inside of people's wrists! There was way too much ink on the stamp and it got all over the side of my tee shirt. If the stamp had been placed on the back of my hand, this would not have happened.

I saw Madison Cunningham October 2022 and although this was my first show at HRB, I've seen plenty of shows in many clubs, bars and small venues (and even played in a few) and the Haw River ballroom is a great place for live music. Good sound, good ambiance and a good crowd, at least in my limited experience.
Get there early for a good meal at the General Store and checking out the stuff nearby too.

It IS a great venue inside. That said, PLEASE do something about the parking. Not only is it NOT well marked, but at night, it's downright scary and unsafe to walk toward your car in the pitch black dark with NO street lights to help guide you as well as deter potential lurkers. P.S. I see from reviews FIVE years ago that the parking has not changed, despite management comments to the contrary. For shame. Rural community or not ... if you can't make your venue more accessible and safe, then why bother with having a venue at all? Sure, you get returning customers, but how many more stay away? I for one am hesitant about ever going again.

What a gem of a venue! Will be back soon for any one of the variety of events taking place here. Parking is tough, but there’s tons of parking just past the Saxapahaw Museum up the hill.

Such a great venue tucked away from the cities. Very much worth a drive from Raleigh to catch a show here and no need to worry about food, there's a couple great places attached to grab something before your show starts, so come early, eat outside, and make an evening of it.

Awesome venue! We went to see Guster. Nice to have a place that still has table seating and couches for us oldies. The coffee bar was great too! Having a full coffee bar open during a concert is so obvious and so brilliant at the same time. It was a hike for us to get to but we’ll be going back for sure.

Always an amazing event. Only wish it wasn't a 1hr drive from Cary. But well worth it every time.

Really cool venue. Parking is limited so arrive early. Reservations strongly encouraged if you plan to visit the restaurant that shares the building on an event night. We didn't, so we missed out.
