Scam, this place is profiting from donations and not accepting animals. Stop donating, we are spreading flyers to bring awareness.

These people do amazing work with the animals. Happiness would be if all animals had a loving home and we wouldn't have a need for shelters. But...shelters are necessary and I thank them for all their hard work.

I found another fur baby. The whole process was easy to adopt. The selection of animals that need a home were easy to access. I just knew when they brought my baby in , she was the one.

The heart of foothills has been amazing to my family. I've been working with Karen after my two female dogs had 18 puppies together. I've also had cats that needed fixed ..and in the end five dogs! I think it's amazing what this place does for people like me that don't have a lot of money. Thank you all so much! There is so much love put into taking care of the animals. Bless this place and people!

My group, the Rutherfordton Outdoor Coalition (ROC), visited the HFAR to take the dogs for a walk. It was a wonderful experience, and all of the dogs got along and had fun.

I adopted sisters from other mothers several years ago. The program is an incredible benefit for both the rescued pet and trainers. Thank you for continuing on and growing the dual benefit work you do!

This place is a fraud, filled out paperwork, was told to pick up my dog and day before they gave the dog to someone else! My kids are crushed. The director was no help, just led us on.

Loving caring volunteers! The animals are very well cared for. I was part of the ROC (Rutherford Outdoor Coalition) that walks some of the rescue dogs once a month on the nearby Rail Trail. They work with the animals to overcome past abuse and prepare them for a new home.

I was lucky enough to find the exact puppy I was looking for to join my farm family. The volunteers are wonderful and caring. The application and adoption process was clear, easy and stress free. I couldn’t be happier with my new little girl and this is the first rescue I recommend to others.

So had a sweet girl show up at my job on a very busy road. We contained her on a porch and gave her some water hoping her owners would come looking. No one did so I took her to my vet to check for a chip non to be found. So I had a house guest that my dogs weren't happy about mainly because they are older and she was very nervous making them uncomfortable. So I asked for help from these guys they couldn't take her full up. But did offer advice. Long story short owners found our post and we got her home. Word to pet owners please please chip your pet it's inexpensive and makes the chances of you finding a lost pet much better!.
