This was our first visit to this winery. We arrived just after they opened at 11 AM, so there were only a few customers there. We did the full tasting of 7 wines and was very pleased. The girl serving us was very knowledgeable and had worked at other wineries in the area. Surprisingly, the wines were very good for a winery that had just opened. From my experience, many wineries take a few years to get their wines the way they want them. The Bacchus was my favorite, and my wife liked the Tannat the best. The owners were very nice and likeable people. We had a great conversation with them and look forward to going back and taking friends with us. The prices were reasonable, and in my opinion, the wine was better than some of the other wineries close by. Even though it is a large building, it has the smaller winery atmosphere that I prefer.

We did a tasting today at Castello Barone and were very impressed. The wines are comparable to the better wines in North Carolina, the place is beautiful and comfortable, service was excellent and it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We met Scott (one of the owners) and he was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We will absolutely return to support this great new local vineyard. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a reservation at Dynamis and nobody would open the gate, so we went exploring. We heard there was a new spot near Raffaldini and Piccione so we took the short drive. They are weeks into being open and have a great team, the wines are far better than a new winery should have, and the snacks were great too. I want to replicate this building on my property. Such a great job and honestly surprised how well done these wine were. The Vermentino is fantastic and the reds are extremely well done.

Nice venue for wine tasting, very good wine and a beautiful view of the low mountains to the east and Raffaldini Vineyards to the west, you know you are in NC wine country. The tasting room is warm and welcoming as is the staff. A must visit in the Swan Creek, AVA of the Yadkin Valley.

Visited Castello Barone today and wow- what a treasure this place is.Nestled across the road from two of the Yadkin’s finest vineyards, this place fits right in.The property is nearing completion from construction and will be beautiful when finished. Tasting room is huge with awesome tasting bar, double-sided fireplace and great 360 degree views. The owners were a joy to meet and visit with and are actively stocking and supporting other local /made in nc businesses with products like cheese, crackers and salami. The wines were all delicious, including a semi-dry we expected to not like- which we did! But the heroes were the reds- Tannat and a really nice blend named after the vineyard dog, Bacchus.

Amazing new winery that shows this area can do serious wine. Came for opening weekend and was impressed. All three reds have an old world sophistication. The Tannat was my favorite. Don’t skip over the whites and roses as they were delicious as well. The sparking rose is a montepulciano pet-nat and worth the trip alone. The space is beautiful. Open air tasting room and wrap around porch for nice days. And a double sided indoor fireplace for the cold days. Lovely mountain sunset views.A few other wineries right across the street making it easy to visit a few in one day.
