Had a great experience filling up our RV propane tank. Owners & other family members were very helpful and pleasant to talk with.

Every visit I've had in this store has been a bad experience .. high prices and the staff working would crack there face if they attempted to smile just once.. as for customer service don't expect a friendly greeting or a" "have a nice day""..the only reason I gave it any stars is the deli which has great biscuits in the morning.

If I could give it less than a one star. Iwould. Half of the staff is great. Then the other half is always rude, openly mock people and aren't helpful at all. I've seen people sit there while they talk. I will spend my money and my business's money elsewhere. Never again. Unprofessional.

We stopped here on our way out and was in dire need of breakfast! Best biscuits and gravy ever, the eggs were amazing too! Sausage link was okay, but the rest was great. Even had seating and the people were so kind. Def stop here if you need anything! They also had an amazing array of stickers and gifts to take home for not a lot of money.

I'm camping at Ocracoke Island and ran out of propane. I was able to call the store and was told no problem even if they were closed. I only had to call within 24 hours and they would have somebody at the store to meet me; which I felt this service was amazing on their part. I did arrive at the store during working hours and was able to get my propane filled. My overall impression of the place was that everybody was just so nice and happy and really this could be a teaching lesson to other industries and maybe even government services on customer service relationship. These people could've just done their business and sent me off but I really felt that they cared.

Wow... my family and I enjoyed vacation this week down on the Obx. Our first stop was at island Convenience. My small children were wandering around the store when they came across the hermit crab cage. My children just had to get one! The owners wonderful and most helpful daughter claudia came out and helped us pick out the most gorgeous pair of hermit crabs. She told us that the crabs thrive better in a environment with two. So, after some not hard convincing from my little ones... we got not one, but two hermit crabs. Claudia, told us all about the wonderful places we needed to check out while on our stay. She even let us know about the Elizabeth Grace, her dads inshore boat. (We will be booking). Claudia, could not let us get out the door without a delicious biscuit, man did it hit the spot! Folks, I recommend y'all stopping in this place on your way through!!! Thank you so much ms. Claudia, best of luck to you next semester at App (my Alma mater)

What a great Convenience/General Store! This place kind of had everything. Stopped to fill up and grab some goodies on our way to our vacation house for the week. The place is pretty big inside. There's a little Deli where you can get hot and cold food. You can pick up all your drinks from soda, juice and booze. They had fishing equipment, beach chairs, Beach gear, I mean pretty much anything you need for the beach. There wasn't little indoor eating area as well as some tables on the deck outside as well. They had boiled peanuts which I got myself some. They even had a huge barrel of pickles which was pretty cool. They had fudge, ice cream and different types of candy. Also things for souvenirs, you know things you probably don't really need but tend to get while on vacation. The staff inside were pretty friendly to chat with. I think this place would probably have almost any item that you need while you're in town. If I was in need of anything this would be a place I would go to. Even found a little tiny baby alligator snapping turtle outside of the joint, we named him BlackBerry.

If you're ever in Rodanthe and need a quick grab-and-go breakfast, get the egg sandwich on a biscuit. Also, the fried pickles are awesome.

This place has been a Rodanthe staple for decades. The deli was closed. The souvenirs were pathetic. Food offerings were minimal. The help was not welcoming. It's a local place and if you're not local, don't expect to make any new acquaintances.

Dirty, low inventory and rude to customers wearing masks. No hello and no thanks/salutations. Shame since it used to be such a decent place.

Loved this place growing up. Walked in to buy a few things and the cashier is checking our customers and isn’t wearing a mask. Walked right back around and exited.
