I have not received my furniture yet. I had it customized and can't wait for the delivery date. Mr. Viverette was so nice and had so much patience with me while i decided what I wanted to purchase 10/10

I rented a loft in this downtown area because I heard that this area is getting re established, s I thought I would use a downtown furniture store. The store is mildewed--smelly, cluttered and unkempt. STACKS OF OLD FILES AND PAPERS EVERYWHERE. They could use help from the Hoarders television series. Owners managers and workers all are unhelpful low energy and unpleasant.

I special ordered a sofa, chair, and ottoman on June 13, 2020. At the time of purchase, I was told they had not experienced any delays due to covid with the particular manufacturer this was ordered from and it should take 5 - 6 weeks. I made a deposit of $1000. On Aug 8 (8 weeks later), I hadn't heard anything and thought the order would be here anytime, so I went to the store and paid the remaining balance, roughly $1400 to ensure the furniture could be delivered as soon as it arrived at the store. While paying the balance, I was told the order was delayed and given a date of Sept. 9. So, on Sept. 8, I got rid of all the old furniture expecting to have my new furniture very soon.Sept 8 came and went and nothing, no furniture and no communication from the Viverette's. I called on the 14th and was told it was delayed again, this time until Sept 25. I explained that it would have been nice for them to have let us know about the delay before hand because we had gotten rid of the old furniture in anticipation of having the new items. Mrs. Viverette's response was "we don't recommend people get rid of their furniture until their orders are here, especially during a pandemic." Maybe she didn't mean it that way but I felt is was extremely condescending. I responded by saying I wouldn't have gotten rid of the old furniture prematurely if they been more forthcoming with information regarding the delays with my order. She then added, "well, these things happen. That's why we don't require customers to pay the balance until after an order is here." I replied, "I guess that is unfortunate for me since my order is paid in full."The end of September also came and went with no furniture and no update from the Viverette's. So, once again, I had to call them. This time the date moved out to Oct. 15. On Oct 16 I called to check on the order and was told it is complete and pending shipping. I have called practically every other day since then and am always told they'll check on it and call me back. They never call.It is now Oct 27. We still don't have our furniture or a ship date. I called earlier today and spoke with Mrs Viverette. I couldn't get a word in edgewise. The conversation started with a 2-3 minute rambling of excuses. I tired to stop her and explain that I understood covid has everything in a mess but that our frustration stems from the lack of communication from them. But every time I started to talk, she would talk over me, saying "Well, I'm sorry, but" and follow with another excuse. I told her I really didn't need an apology, just for her to listen for a minute. But, she kept talking over me so, I finally just hung up. I don't believe I've ever had an encounter with a business quite like it. Unprofessional is an understatement.At this point, I wonder if I will end up in court trying to get my money back. I understand covid has everything in a mess. It is what it is. But, it is completely unacceptable how the Viverette's have failed to communicate with us. They've had $2400 of our hard earned money for months but can't be bothered with a simple phone call, even if just to say, "we still don't have a definite ship date but we are working on it and continue to watch it." They don't appreciate my business. And, I will never give them my business again and will not recommend them.

Best furniture store around! Best prices you will find and also the absolute best customer service! Very friendly and helpful! They have a great selection and can also order stuff for you from any company they carry, normally beating any price you see somewhere else!
