Money's been frozen from my account from getting gas. The merchant told me to contact my bank, bank told me to contact the merchant. Someone is wrong and needs to fix it

Just stopped in around midnight to pick up a morning drink for tomorrow morning before work. First I went to walk into the store and was directed to the other door if there was a sign, it would have been helpful. I went to the other door to go inside. There were two cashier's and one guy lurking around glaring at folks and drinking coffee. One of the cashier's started to ring me up and then walked to the door to peer outside while the lurker supervised. The other cashier picked up the ball at the other register and got me rung out. Could definitely have gone smoother.
