The service department is a big joke. The woman in the drive through has a toxic hostile attitude that should not be tolerated in any place offering any kind of service.The “service” advisors don’t even know how to check tire pressure and their compensatory approach to “service” is to talk down to customers.They add alignment to tire changes and charge you for it. Tire changes have NOTHING to do with alignment. Typically redoing the wheel alignment is not needed. If your old tires are showing signs of bad alignment or you changed a part like a tie rod or after market struts, you need to do alignment. Otherwise, no need to pay extra $$.

I have always been intimidated by the car buying process. On Friday 13th, I had the best buying experience when I purchased my pre-owned Sante Fe from Medlin Hyundai! Andrew, Brandon and Gil made my buying process easy, efficient and fun! What a helpful and wonderful sales process and team! And even after a small bit of communication confusion, the Team came together and remedied the situation to our satisfaction. I just recently purchased a car from Medlin Hyundai in Rocky Mount and it was by far the best car-buying experience I've ever had. My car salesman was Erick Valencia and if you go here this is the guy you want. He's super helpful and not overly pushy. He gets the job done without annoying you and he makes you feel you can trust what he says. I had been to several lots over two days looking to buy a car and this guy is the reason I settled with Medlin Hyundai. I mean let's face it a lot of lots have nice cars but dealing with someone you feel you can trust is super helpful. I actually had the intent to buy a much cheaper car but he showed me one car I just fell in love with. My purchase experience went from just buying a car that I needed to buying a car I actually really love. I was very honest with him up front that I had the intent to purchase a car but that I didn't want to talk price yet and he did exactly as I asked. He showed me cars that he thought I would like based on a few quick questions. He was quick to help me with financing as well. I will be a Medlin Hyundai person as long as this guy works there. I will be a repeat customer for sure.

After buying my first car from this dealership, I became aware that my Title was incorrectly registered (which was never resolved). During the 9 month span that I owned the vehicle, I had an abhorrent time dealing with Medlin Hyundai's service department, who constantly mishandled scheduled or rescheduled appointments.The push to buy the car was rushed, but I chose to continue because I was in need of an upgraded vehicle compared to the hand-me-downs that I'd been accustomed up to until this point. However, my car wasn't cleaned or detailed upon purchase, despite the fact that it was a Manufacturer Certified Used vehicle.At one point, while waiting inside during a service appointment, I DIRECTLY witnessed another Medlin customer being "played" as the dealership staff ignored her numerous detailed complaints about regularly occuring mechanical failures her family had been experiencing with the Hyundai she'd brought in for service. Said staff member misogynistically talked to the woman as if she didn't understand autombiles and that her car was not experiencing any problems at all after HE'D driven her car. As a fellow consumer, I was appalled that someone who presented with such a serious problem was being mocked and ignored after coming into the dealership where she'd gotten her car.Between the plethora of experiences I've had with this dealership of my own and witnessing bias and special treatment of certain customers over others, I will respectfully rest assured in the fact that I will never buy or recommend ANYONE to buy a car from this dealership.

PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THIS...Attached is a photo of Sales Manager Ben Coutu (his hair is longer now)... I sold a vehicle to Medlin Hyundai (through Ben Coutu) on April 17. By April 27, the bank had not received the payoff check from the dealer, and auto-drafted my usual payment from my account. Before this, I contacted Ben after noticing the payoff had not yet made it to my bank. Ben said he'd look into it and call me back, but never did. I called back after I was charged, and spoke with General Sales Manager Troy Black (Ben wasn't available). The issue was corrected and I was told at some point I would be contacted when my refund (the amount the bank charged me for the regular monthly payment after the vehicle was in Medlin Hyundai's possession) arrived. On May 24, I call, ask Ben about my refund check, and he said he called, texted, AND emailed me to let me know it was in on May 2, but somehow I received none of these. On May 25, I see Ben for the check, and address an issue with the amount. He asked me was I really going to "nickel and dime (him) over $30", said he gave me top dollar for the vehicle and complained that they still hadn't sold it. I said I just want the full amount of the payment that was taken from me by the bank since the era was on Medlin's end, and not mine. He stated that he's really a nice guy but that I was trying to "take (him) there" and now he wishes he never bought the car from me. He complained about me removing rain guards from the windows and the fact that they had to remove window tint, and mentioned they used gas to drive me home after the sale (I was driven about 6 minutes away from the dealership, in the vehicle I sold them, with the gas I left in it), and stated that I should just take my check and be happy. I asked Ben to get his supervisor and he stormed out of his office. I saw him outside speaking to someone I assumed was his supervisor, who turned out to be Troy Black. When Ben saw me approach them, he said to Troy "There he is now", lied and said I got irate with him and he was reacting to me being irate first, then said "he wanted to talk to and curse out the manager"... As he walked away he said to me "there he is, you f***ng p*ssy", in front of the "the manager" whose only response was "I'll handle that" AFTER I was done talking to him and asked if anything was going to be done about how their Sales Manager just behaved... On the positive side, Troy did call me with a check for the difference from my refund the same day, but apparently nothing was done about Ben because I went back for the refund a few hours after receiving the call m and heard Ben being called over the intercom to come to the sales room after I returned to my vehicle.

After months of research, I decided to switch to Hyundai after being a loyal Honda customer for decades. Wished I would have made the change years ago. I love my new Kona !! If you are thinking of purchasing a vehicle or just looking I highly recommend you go visit Medlin Hyundai. You won't be disappointed nor will you spend all day at the dealership. I was in & out in less than 90 minutes. Thank you Parrish & Ben !!

12 April 2023I made an appointment with the service dept to have an oil change, tire rotation and multi-point inspection of my vehicle. The appointment is for 7:30a, I arrived at 7:25a. and proceed to pull up to the service bay door. Get to the service door and it's locked but there's someone standing behind the desk. Cindy, the service representative, didn't acknowledge me so I walked around to the dealership door thinking ok whatever before the door is finally openCar has been serviced and it's time to checkout and Angie asks how do I want to pay. I tell her with my service agreement. I'm told that she didn't see one for me. Then she checks the computer again and tells me that it says pending. I tell her I'm not certain why it's showing pending but the money has definitely cleared my account. She offers up that the service agreement was recently purchased on March 29, 2023.. I agreedBut there's still nothing that she can do about the $75 charge for today's service. I suggested that she call or get someone, however, that person didn't come in until 9a and it was 8:25a. So I made myself comfortable for the 30min wait. 15min later I received a call from Angie asking me where I went because my car is ready...No greeting. No name.Got to the counter. Just pointed to where she needed my signature...No explanation. No apology.I did call to get an explanation from the finance dept. regarding why it said pending.TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The staff is usually very nice when I take my car to get serviced, from scheduling the appointments over the phone to speaking with I’m at time of service. They have a nice waiting room with a tv , magazines, and snacks and water at no cost and if you prefer other snacks there is also a vending machine .

Erick Valencia was my sales person and he was excellent. He reached out to me, heard what I wanted and worked with me to find a car. He was attentive, has superior communication skills and made this a fun experience to purchase my new car.

Went to the dealership today to look at the new Hyundai Tucson. MSRP 39k. It had a sticker next to it stating the price was 41k. I asked the salesman why the price was higher than MSRP.... Response they are hard to get so we raised the pricePathetic

I highly recommend buying a car from these guys, they are awesome! Great customer service all the way to the end of purchasing my new ride which I love. They made the process quick and easy with no hassle, the fastest I had ever purchased a car. Answered all questions from the beginning to the end. From David Stewart, Troy Black, and Gil Evett Jr. They are the mighty Trio that put a smile on my husband and I face. I walk on the lot and drove off in my new ride in the same day. All 10s for them. :-)
