Warning don't take your car here if you have a recall I got a 2017 Hyundai sonata the motor went in April 2024 had to go through a lot of paperwork to see the maintenance history to determine if they was going to fix my car finally got approved in July in August they lied in said my car was next in line to be fix now it almost second week in September I still haven't gotten a car in my car still in the same spot again Warning don't bring your car here if you have a recall bad business

My Hyundai Santa Fe Broke down on Thursday 5/16/24 on Interstate 95, 6 pm when a stone hit an inverter and shut down the engine. We were traveling from Pa. To Myrtle Beach our home. We called for a tow truck and State Police and the Sheriff. The tow truck towed my Santa Fe to Medlins. Police took my family and I to a Hotel. Friday at 7:30 I was at Medlins too early for news on my car. I asked Kurt Richardson if the had a rental car he said your out of State they can't give me one. I said I'm not from a foreign Country you have my 60k Santa Fe. We had no extra clothes no way to go eat, we had 3 small dogs and a pet rabbit with us. That didn't matter to him. So I called another Uber their were no rental cars available in Rocky Mt. So I rented a 3rd Uber to shop for Clothes after I was told by Kurt that the new inverter was in Calif. And they put a rush on it. This was Friday afternoon. Kurt said maybe Tuesday, Wednesday before it would come in. After 5 Ubers for pet food and ours more cloths. I got a call Monday from Medlin and I didn't get to my phone in time I called back to Kurt and asked if he called me he said no a new guy in parts should not have called you? So I went to see Kirby Potter Parts Director and asked if my part came in he said yes then he showed it to me. What a nice person I also looked for this new young parts guy didn't see him. Did Kurt lie to me? I asked Kirby is there a Mgr. He said yes it's Mr Black next office. I went to see him after speaking with him he said let me see what he could do. He came back from the shop and said a mechanic will finish an engine and then get on my car asap and have you on the road today. Holy cow what a great Mgr Troy Black is. I walked back out to go to the hotel to tell my wife the good news and bumped into Kurt and he said I told you your part is not here. I said I just spoke to Kirby and Mr Black and said it is here and was told it would be done today. I don't know why Kurt didn't tell me the truth but it's over and we are home safe.

I took my 2013 Hyundai Sonata to Medlin 1/3/24. It was there over a month. The car was ready Thursday,2/8/24 paying $1003.60.I drove it the next day(Friday) to a doctor’s appointment 50 miles away.On my way there,the car was driving funny.When I got to stop light near doctor’s office,it was stalling like it was going to cut off.Once I proceeded & got in parking lot of doctor’s office,about 4-5 different lights came on & then car cut off while rolling.I cut car completed off & cut back on & parked. I was terrified to drive it from there.I drove it to my next appointment & from there,it started doing the same thing.I pulled over & waited for someone to help me.Later the car was driven to a relative house & I got a ride home.Finally the car was storage at my son’s place where it has been to for almost 2 months.I reached out to service advisor Cindy Mejia the same day 2/8/24 about the problem.I then disputed the charge.After seeing that the fee of $1003.60 were taken out of my account at a later date ,I contacted the service manager today(4/18/24)& he had no care in his voice.He wants to know what am I asking & what I want him to do.Then tells me to have the car towed there at my expense.
I took my car there bc of check engine light was on & started flashing,oil ,antifreeze leak & cutting off. I even gave them the codes I were given from other places.I wasted my money for the problem NOT to be fix. The tech was Tevin Lynch. I been better off going bootleg(in somebody backyard).They would’ve did a better job for lesser fee.

We got a brand new vehicle. Took it in for warranty repairs. Got it back heard clunking. Found both lower strut mount bolts on both side loose enough where I could turn the nut by hand. Both axle nuts were loose and neither had been punched properly. I repaired this things I found and will not be taking it back to that dealership. The whole experience has been the worst possible experience with a dealership. We will be taking our business to the Greenville dealership. Do not do business here. They don't care about their customers just the dollar as far as I can tell. Axle nuts pictured before and after properly installing them.

This is highly disappointing.
When I returned home I recall sharing with my wife my intention to send Medlin Hyundai a few firehouse t-shirts and patches in appreciation for what I thought would be a clean transaction.
I would never expect a business or individual to pay for my failure to process essential documents accurately and in a timely manner. Unfortunately, Medlin Hyundai allowed our documents to sit on a desk for weeks, never returning phone calls in a desperate attempt to avoid the situation I now find myself in. My family and I have been placed in a financial and travel predicament that can lead to more fines, license suspension, and not to mention irreplaceable time (driving over 80 miles between home and the DMV and the hours that go along with that). I am forced to illegally drive the vehicle I paid Medlin Hyundai for. Included in that payment was DMV fees which are for the processing of necessary documents. However, sending the documents in 45 days later, sending them in filled out inaccurately, and subsequently trying to pass the burden of paying for poor accounting is wrong.
I regret doing business with Medlin Hyundai.

This was my first visit to the dealership - I had to go to Cary to buy my Ioniq because they weren’t yet EV certified. Now that they are, I’m hoping I can get my service here. This was a minor recall, and it went fine. I was able to get an appointment in less than a week, and waited about 90 minutes.
They’re a little rough around the edges - no free carwash, and they didn’t even fill the windshield washer fluid the car texted me about as I was checking out.
I’ll have a maintenance appointment soon and hope I’ll be able to keep coming here, since otherwise it’s 50~ miles to the dealership I bought it from.

Made an appointment and drove 2+ hours to look at a car. Absolutely worth the trip. Hillery and Brandon were phenomenal to worth with. It was a very light hearted and transparent atmosphere. There was never a point where I felt pressured by anyone. Legitimately the best car buying experience I've had so far.

Top notch in service and reliability if your looking to buy a new or even used vehicle come by the rocky mount merlin motors and purchas one you won't be disappointed I myself have purchased three vehicles for this dealership two new ones and one used one and I have no complaints
