I got to the clinic 25 minutes before my new patient appointment. I thought I needed to fill out more paperwork and was trying to be respectful of everyone's time. The front desk staff had heaters on under their desks in the summer and it was boiling in the lobby. I gently mentioned how hot it was to the receptionist, who just ignored me saying, "Seems fine to me." Then, a vet walked into the lobby saying it was too hot as well. No one did anything. I then had to wait an additional 25 minutes after my appointment time to be seen by a tech with a bad attitude. The tech lazily ran a flea comb through my dog's hair and said that I wasn't going to leave the room until my 5-month-old dog received more vaccinations. My dog had already received her vaccinations before I had just recently adopted her. That documentation was already provided to the office and was confirmed via email and when I arrived. I said I wasn't comfortable with giving my dog more vaccines at the time. The tech went outside to notify the vet. After another long wait, the vet finally entered looking pale and sickly. She never once looked at me in the eyes and addressed all her commentary to the floor while pointing her finger to papers on vaccination schedules and the life cycle of fleas, using snide, snarky comments about how much I must like to read. She went through a page-long litany of vaccinations and boosters that she wanted for my 5-month-old dog. The tension from her behavior was alarming. After listening respectfully to her many and ever-changing strongly-worded "suggestions," I told the vet that I did not feel comfortable giving my dog more shots at that time. I said that when she needed to get spayed (which was coming up in 2 months), I would get her the mandated rabies shot. Apparently, that wasn't good enough. She left the room in a huff with the attendant who told me to wait in the room, yet again. After 7 minutes, I slowly walked to the front desk to pay my bill. I did not feel comfortable with how I was being treated and I honestly feared for my pets. I asked the woman at the front desk for a different vet and was refused. I paid the exorbitant $80 fee just to be harassed when the vet came out into the lobby to hand me yet another stack of papers commenting again about my supposed lack of intelligence. She yet again addressed the floor, commenting on lawful prosecution and how deadly the rabies vaccine is. After her surprising Freudian slip, I smiled at how ridiculous the situation had become. I realized that there was nothing I could do in that moment to change anything. I was mistreated by so many employees that day. It was clear that I, my dog, and my new kitten, were not welcome at Coats. I feel so bad for how much business y'all are losing by treating paying clients this way. Sincerely, Dr. S.

Since moving to the area almost 3 years ago, we have been nothing but highly impressed with this animal hospital. They have gone above and beyond for my animals since day one. They gave me a few more good years with my poodle of 12 years by figuring out how to treat his illness when my previous veterinarian could not. They were there for me during the euthanasia process, when the time came, in a way that I can only describe as "exceptional". From the girls at the front desk, to the techs, the doctors, and Cathy in grooming... we have never been treated as anything less than family since the day we came to them seeking help and answers. Now that we have new furry members of our family, I know that they will have the very best care from now until their last day. I will always take every pet we ever have from here on out to this animal hospital! I can't say enough good things about each and every aspect of this business.

All the staff are always very kind and knowledgeable at every visit, but Kathy in Grooming stands out specifically. She is extremely patient with the new pups, as she takes her time to ensure that each pup feels less threatened as possible. It is very obvious how much she loves what she does, it really shows in her work! Aside from her personality and compassion, she also did a wonderful job with my pup’s bath and his first haircut. I can tell by his reaction to her that he really is going to enjoy coming back. Thank you for excellent service!

I can't say enough good about this practice!! We were traveling from Delaware to Florida and noticed that our little Citra had what appeared to be an ulcer on her eye. After being turned away by many veterinarians along 95 (who were understandable booked for the day), Coats made room in their schedule to see and treat Citra. Great staff, great service and great attitudes!!

All the staff have shown nothing but kindness and generosity - for all who are in need. They make recommendations and options that are available. They offered our family a ramp when they saw my son carry our senior dog inside. And this was just her second visit. Please come see this place. Thanks.

I went a month ago and forgot to put a review. It is worth every dime. I felt heard, the staff was as nice as possible and answered every question I had. So thankful for them! They also prescribed my 8 month old pup a regimen for fleas for the next 6 months. (I weigh him monthly) 100% would recommend. Love it!

my sweet Cookie left us this past Monday due to old age. she was 17 years old. Hailee made sure we knew everything that was going on and comforted us. The Vet was amazing as well and made sure we understood and reassured me I was doing the right thing. she is missed so much but just after 4 days I have my girl back home with me. Thank you to everyone at Coats for caring for our fur babies.

My husband and I highly recommend Coats VeterinaryHospital. They have the highest standards for veterinary care. Everyone there treats our pets as if they were their pets and part of a big family. They also do very well with the nervous parents. It is true that our pets become our children!!!!

This team did such a wonderful job for me and my husband, we had our boxer of 11 years put down by them. They sent wonderful gifts with her ashes and I can’t thank them enough for all the help they did. I highly recommend them
