We adopted a female poogle from Healthypups, and are very pleased. She received a clean bill of health from our vet, and has thrived. She is the sweetest and loving pup and would adopt again.

I really try to stay away from submitting negative reviews but I felt a deep responsibility to share my story with others about this breeder. Be aware up front that this man is disturbed. From the time you arrive to pick up your pup, he’ll bombard you with a plethora of pro-trump, anti-vax, anti science conspiracy theories. It took me 30 minutes to get him to shut up and get down to business. This should’ve been the first sign of things to come, but I kept hearing the sweet voice of my late mother saying “Be accepting of other’s”. Big mistake! To give context, I’d purchased a pup from him 2 years ago with no issues. I decided to get her a playmate and purchased a MaltiPoo ($1,500) from his website. I picked up the dog three weeks later and headed home, thankful to escape the sick rhetoric this man had been spouting for the last half hour. The puppy threw up several times during the 90 minute ride home but I attributed this to car sickness. The pup had already regurgitated in the portable kennel when we arrived, but ok let’s see how it goes. She continued to vomit periodically during the week with no other signs of serious distress. Seven days after picking her up, she stopped eating, drinking and suddenly became very lethargic. I gave the breeder a call who advised me to give her a bit of malt syrup and the antibiotic he’d sent home with me. Well, after a few more hours my better judgement told me to take her to the vet emergency room at which time she was diagnosed with ParvoVirus. We are now currently getting in-patient treatment and her prognosis is good. Be advised, if you ever have ANY issues with your puppy, he will take absolutely NO responsibility. He’ll start ranting ridiculous conspiracy theories that drug companies are purposely injecting viruses into the vaccinations and other morbid comments like the Covid epidemic was a hoax. I hate to share these sick comments but I think it’s important for people to understand the level of ignorance you’ll be dealing with if you choose to do business with this man. He’ll surely respond to this review, spew his ignorant conspiracy theories and continue to take no responsibility but please … take the time, do your research, look at reviews and ask questions. People don’t care about bad experiences with businesses … until they have a bad experience with a business, I get it. Like any business, its valuation should be judged on not only great outcomes but when the product fails and whether there’s a sincere effort to resolve the problem. This dog hasn’t been anywhere but inside my home so our assessment was that it came from the breeder. Parvovirus is a highly contagious disease that can incubate for up to two weeks. Mr Blackburns response to our pups diagnosis was that I probably picked it up from a doorknob ? He refused any accountability whatsoever. Really … a Doorknob? You just can’t make this stuff up.??I’m gonna take this loss on the chin in the hopes that others don’t patronize this man’s business. Shame on me for not going with my better judgment, but if this helps anyone I consider it a win. Also, don’t expect to see the pups parents, the breeders facilities, nor will there will be any record of a veterinary exam. He’ll simply refer you to the cute little puppy videos he posts on his website. Keep in mind that It becomes easy to look past someone’s dishonest dealings when you’re staring at videos of cute puppies. My pup is currently doing much better after medical treatment, thanks to the excellent caring staff of veterinarians at Carolina Veterinarian Specialists in Charlotte. She was treated for the Parvovirus using the Canine parvovirus monoclonal antibody (CPMA). Save yourself the grief, anxiety, expense and go with a reputable breeder … Healthy Pups ? I think not, shame on you HealthyPups for not caring about your animals and the people who love them.

Our Maltipoo puppy was exactly what we wanted. Perfect in every way. Healthy to this day at almost three years old. We love her so very much. Mr Blackburn was very helpful advising us when we picked her up. She is 8 pounds.

I bought my cavapoo a little of over 3 year ago from Healthy Pups. When we first got our dog she had a broken tail, and hernia. At the time we didn’t think too much about this. We got the hernia repaired when our dog was getting spayed. As far as being a good and sweet dog, you could not ask for a better pet. Seriously the absolute sweetest dog ever. Which is why this is even more sad. We took our 3 year old dog to the vet today, and she has a significant heart murmur. The vet then told me that this was a congenital issue due to over breeding. Along with her broken tail, hernia, and heart murmur she also has significant vision problems. We absolutely love our girl and hate the thought of something happening to her at a young age. Just be aware buying a puppy from healthy pups because their puppies aren’t too healthy.

We recently adopted "Molly" our Teddy Bear SchiChon. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. She has been super easy to potty train and we can tell she had been loved on before adoption. Mr Blackburn is super knowledgeable and goes out of his way to make it a smooth and enjoyable process, his facility is top notch.

We purchased our Teddy Bear and are overwhelmed with joy. Molly is very healthy and vibrant. She has been extremely easy to house train. You can tell she had a lot of positive human interaction prior to adoption. Mr Blackburn is extremely knowledgeable and goes out of his way to make sure you know how to care for your new family member.

Ive purchased from Irvin numerous times and had nothing but a 100% positive experience! He is not only been a positive member of my beliefs but Ive also had a great experience with the puppies Ive purchased! Me and my wife would be devastated with our babies and continued support of health and nutrition from Mr. Blackburn and his staff! So from a family in WV we thank you sir!

I wish I had read further down I used to breed basset hounds and dashhound not 15 or 20 different breeds at the same time my friend and I purchased a dog and we both had social issues complete accidents I have a brand new house and my floor is ruined we ended up taking them to the SPCA this was supposed to be my emotional support dog I am completely torn every time I called him he would tell me the same thing it could take up to a year for them to get used to being here I would tell him no I've bred dogs before they're not like this there's something wrong with them my friend is also very disappointed he would not let me see the parents or go back and see any of the other dogs something is wrong transfer on that day the smarter the dog the longer it'll take for him to get used to you that is just hilarious there's a lot more that I can say but I won't but please people be very cautious when you buy from this man he actually told me not to take them to the SPCA to bring them back to him so that he could resell them and make more money

We got our second puppy from here recently. Our first was a sweet great tempered healthy boy. This puppy is so well adjusted and sweet. The vet gave him a clean bill of health on his initial visit. I know they raise a lot of different breeds there but they are doing something right because I couldn’t be happier or more satisfied with both our puppies. The new puppy is a Shichon Teddy Bear.

I have read the various reviews regarding puppy mill. I know they have a lot of different breeds but we got our second puppy from there recently and he has been so well adjusted and sweet. After the initial vet visit he is also very healthy. The first puppy we got from Healthy Pups was such a joy that after we lost him we decided to get another one and I'm glad we did. This time we got a Shichon Teddy Bear.

I purchased my Yorkie from Mr. Irvin. My experience was both pleasant and professional. I named my puppy Locksley after Robin Hood, because he steals things and carries them to his cage. He also stole my heart in a matter of minutes.

We purchased our dog close to 4 years ago. We were told she was a Cavapoo but she looks like a Maltipoo (I refuse the spend money for a DNA test) and she incredibly anxious and is constantly sick - mostly vomiting and diarrhea. We love her and she is a member of our family but she is sick constantly and it’s exhausting to our family, both emotionally and financially. I would not buy a dog from a breeder ever again. I should mention that I have avoided posting about this but the latest bout of diarrhea and vomiting has pushed me over the edge.
