We ordered 2 over-sized chairs, ottoman and a sectional couch. I ordered the "highest" level cushions. I also asked our salesman if the fabrics that I liked would stand up to every day use and was assured they would take the wear. The delivery was delayed - COVID, ok. But the hem or skirt was markedly uneven and the cushions felt like I was sitting on a couch in a frat house. The couch we were replacing was 17 years old and had better support. They came to look, took the furniture back, replaced the cushions with the "real top of the line' cushions and 'fixed the skirt. Six months after living with our 10,000 purchase - the fabric looks ratty, the skirt is uneven and the cushions have that great frat house feel. Complete garbage. Caveat emptor folks.

One of the few places in the area with high quality furniture. The atmosphere was nice and the sales people weren’t pushy. Delivery would have been affordable if we had needed it. We had been shopping for nightstands all day and were about to give up until we found Wayside. We purchased on our first visit and would definitely give them return business.

The people are great!! Staff members are warm and friendly!! The owner is a man of few words, but still engaging and willing to help as if he was a first day salesman!! Quality furniture as well!! Check it out!!

Wayside Furniture House is a fantastic local business that has far exceeded our expectations! This shop has high-quality furniture and custom design, with a wide range of styles and furniture makers. My husband and I have worked with Karen Dittmer as our designer, and we have been delighted with the way our home turned out. Karen has a great eye for style, proportion, and design. She has taken the time to visit our house and learn about our tastes. She has a remarkable gift for looking at our home through our eyes, rather than imposing her own taste. She has always presented us with a variety of options and has been careful to work within our budget.Karen has always been fun to work with and has continued to help us during the pandemic. We've truly appreciated how generous she's been with her time. She has also referred us to local shops and helped with the selection process of rugs, window treatments, and lighting. Karen came highly recommended by a trusted friend, and we ourselves have recommended her to others, who have also had great results. Thanks to Wayside for a job well done!

Ordered furniture and was told 4-6 weeks. The sales representative Karen, was very knowledgeable and helpful and we expected all was going to be ok. 6 weeks pass and no word from Wayside so I called and was told it would be checked on and I would be called back. I was also told at that point that that particular manufacturer usually runs behind- yet that was never mentioned before. No one called. A week later my husband called back and was told still no word. The following week we got a call that leather was no longer available and we needed to start over. According to manufacturer that I spoke with, that leather was dropped 10 months before. We finally received 1 of our 2 pieces of furniture after 11 weeks. The other piece was ordered and came in quickly only to be delivered and had flaws. That piece had to be taken back for repairs. That same piece was inspected by Hank, the manager/ owner and he told me that he missed it. All of you missed it after our order was placed. There is so much to this story that I won’t get in to but, their website BOASTS that the most important to them is customer satisfaction. That is the biggest joke. I spoke with the owner and he stated that they have spent extra money on my orders that he couldn’t offer me any kind of discount. They spent money all because of them. I did my part- I paid my deposit and I waited my 6 weeks and they dropped the ball in every way. The sales representative that helped us told me several times that she wasn’t making any money off of us. That is extremely unprofessional and I never got one discount from her. The only thing she took care of was a $95 delivery fee. We spent $4800 in their store. When said sales rep realized my boss spends big money at her store she sure stepped up her game- she doesn’t want to lose his business but, mine she doesn’t care about. Nice. This is a one time purchase. I will not purchase any future pieces from them. Wayside has been in business since 1939 and their customer service is severely lacking once orders are placed. I highly do not recommend you spend your hard earned money here.

Wow, Hank. You were already aware of how unhappy I was about my experience. I spoke with you directly and you informed me that your company had spent so much money "making things right for me" that you couldn't help me. You should have done something the day I spoke with you. No one at your company wants to take responsibility in being the problem. Again, I did my part and it sure took your company a while to do theirs and had to be directed to do so. So, don't come on here and seem as if you didn't know and make it appear as if you want to make this right publicly. Give me a break- I wasn't born yesterday and neither were you. Shame on you for being a local business owner that treats customers this way. I could have been a return customer. I have more furniture needs but, I will be spending thousands of dollars elsewhere. You need to re-evaluate your customer service skills and also get with this century. Follow through is huge and takes very little effort but, certainly goes a very long way. Sharpen your skills.

Our experience at Wayside Furniture was excellent. When we walked in we were met by Karen who listened to our wants and then gave us several options to choose from. She also guided us in things to think about that we had not thought about. She was extremely helpful to us at every step in our furniture purchasing process.
