My fiancé came in at 12:30am having not eaten for 4 days, can't even drink water, severe stomach pain, vomiting blood (not red but black like coffee grounds) and chest pain. They immediately did an EKG which we knew would be fine then started bloodwork and gave him fluids in the lobby. They called him back not too long after and gave him some medicine, we talked to the PA and we got sent back out to the lobby around 3am. Right now it's 7:30am and when I finally went and asked I was told they were waiting on a room to discharge him with all kinds of abnormal lab results, still hurting, still nauseous and no answers. We came an hour from home thinking this was a better facility...WRONG!!! There's nothing emergent about this emergency room!

Great prices for employees and families. A bit of inconvenience to look for parking but worth it. My husband gets his maintenance medications delivered always on time! Great customer service! Go Wakemed Pharmacy

Finding where you need to go may be a problem if you are unfamiliar with the locations however, asking someone definitely does help get you where you need to be *MASKS STILL REQUIRED & THEY HAVE TO BE MEDICAL GRADE*. They will provide them if you do not have one. It's perfectly fine.

Wake Med Sleep center on Kildare Road in Cary, NC The sleep study technicians think wearing a mask is optional for when you're being treated by them. Whilst they're going in and out of other patients rooms unmasked and coming to you. It's absurd they the hospital staff not wear a mask when being out at right if their actions for a sleep study in which you, need to be unmasked.

I've been waiting for 45 minutes for a prescription I was told would be ready when I got here. After driving 35 minutes, it's awful customer services .

You only have two good options for care Duke and WakeMed. They handle their covid unit with the cleanliness required. Good staffing even though most are travelers. They are #1 for their inpatient behavioral health unit. Great place to work despite the location.

On 4/27/22 this was the experience:This is not where one goes if having a Mental Health crisis. My grandaughter stop there because she was having a melt down (Panic Attack) and this was the first hospital she saw on her way home from a job orientation. After she triage given a referral to where she could go she requested her clothing and phone so she could leave. It took a considerable lenght of time so she went into the hallway to look for the nurse who had cared for her. Mind you she is only dressed in a hospital gown with nothing underneath. She states that a security guard saw her and told her she can't leave to which she began to tell her what she was doing, but, a huge man sneaked up behind her, kicked her legs from under her an lay on top of her pinning her to the floor and smushing her face in the floor. The nurse who attended her came on the scene and asked what they were doing to her as she was discharged. The large man raised up off her saying well I didn't know that, nobody told me. The very reason she stopped there caused them to inflict more serious harm to her psyche. She was screaming and crying begging them why did they do this to her. Mind you she was naked and this man push her to the floor and was on top of her. The staff evidently are not trained in de- escalation or how to deal with persons in mental health crisis. Had it not been for that nurse stepping in who knows what would have happened to my child. This is an atrocity! I am livid that this behavior was enacted on my child! What a hospital! Her leg was twisted and her knee skinned when he threw her to that hard floor. She still needs help and even more so due to this but she is so afraid and dosen't trust any professionals now. She had nightmares last night, is still so nervous and shakey she say everytime she closes her eyes she feels that huge man's body on top of hers. She is easily startled, phobic, will not even let me take her to have her knee looked at. This broke my heart that this happened to her. She is only 23 and this has devastated her.
