I have a newly diagnosed medical condition and have been going to this office frequently over the past few months. Dr. Lucas and his nurse are very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. He seems to always come into the exam room right at my scheduled time. The staff in the lab are excellent at what they do. I have always been told I was a “difficult stick” and it often takes multiple tries for a blood draw, but I have never had an issue at this office. They always get it the first time without issue and for that I am grateful.

I have been a patient of Dr. Haung's for more than a decade now. Dr. Haung is thorough, kind and you never feel rushed during your visit with him. I have seen my share of doctors but never one as amazing as Haung. Sometimes there is a little wait time to see him . I hear it's very hard to get in with him these days. If you are ever given the chance to see Dr. Hang take it, you will not look back. His nurse Leslie is equally awesome, they make a great team. The office it self has struggled but over the years has made the necessary changes to offer quality customer service.

If I could give this place zero stars then I would. As former sexual assault victim, this practice do not care about your preferences. When I first came to the practice , I asked for a female dr, none had openings so they made my pcp a male. Cool, male dr was ok to an extent. When scheduling my physical and pap. I requested specifically a woman dr to do my pap and iud replacement. I was reassured this was possible and it would be notated. When I show up to the office all of sudden the woman dr isn’t there and I was told I had to let the male dr do my pap. I told the lady multiple time I do not feel comfortable with a male doing my pap and esp if my cycle came on. The lady continued well it’s ok , he can still do it. I say ma’am I’m not comfortable with a male doing my pap and esp when my cycle came on. The lady continue to press the issue that I cried and said just cancel the appointment and left. Tried to call back to schedule specifically asked for the same request and got the same response. I asked to no longer be patient. The people they have scheduling do not properly schedule, I was also suppose to get iud replacement, they called me and set the appointment lol then when I get there they say I can’t do the physical and iud replacement on the same day so I ask why would you all call and schedule it the same day and in the same sentence the woman dr wasn’t there to do it. They wasted my time showing up when they are the ones who called me to schedule the appointment. I tried to reschedule and the pushed the appoint out so far and stated your insurance may not cover it because they are changing things and refused to file thru my secondary which will cover it and claim they can’t do that and I’d have to pay out of pocket. This whole practice is shady, do not recommend

Dr Huang is an awesome doctor. He cares about his patients as if they were family. His staff is superb and Leslie is top notch and always has a smile.

I had a tooth pulled today and the dentist didn’t send me home with any pain medication. I can’t take ibuprofen or aspirin as I am allergic and the Tylenol was not cutting it. I was able to make an appointment immediately with Dr. Taylor. I had just spent 300$ on dental work and the front desk staff was so nice and allowed me to only pay half of the copay and be billed the rest. I was hysterically crying and the wait time was so quick, the nurse and tech were absolutely wonderful and funny and they made me feel at ease.Dr Taylor was so understanding and took me seriously (many doctors seem to brush off patient pain nowadays). He gave me some steroids for the swelling and some pain medicine to help me for the next few days. Truly a life saver. He was thorough about my allergies to NSAIDs and genuinely concerned about my well being. I am switching to this practice as my primary now because of how wonderful my experience was in my time of absolute misery. He even sent over an inhaler for me when I called after I left and told him I forgot to mention I ran out of mine!Thank you to the whole staff!!

I have been going to UNC Family Medical forover 10 years and been serve with nothing more than complete courtesy, timely appointments, and professional medical advice and service I have also felt very comfortable here

I had a very good experience at this practice. I appreciated that I could schedule a new patient appointment online. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The appointment with Taylor Irvin was thorough. No long waits; I was able to get my annual physical, flu shot, and labs all in around 30 minutes. Lab results came back the same day and provider comments / notes were posted to MyChart shortly afterwards.

I sent a message that my prescription needs refilled. That was on July 29. Left a voicemail on July 31 and again on August 3 with the doctor's assistant. NO REPLY. finally had to talk to a nurse. Who then tells me I will have to come in for a refill. It's the same prescription I've been taking for a number of years. I hate that you need a doctor's visit just for a refill. NOT HAPPY.

I have been seen by Stacey Bauer for years. She always greets me with a smile, is professional and knowledgeable. It has been easy to get next day appointments. I have never had to sit in the waiting room for long. Front desk staff is helpful and engaging.

Worst doctors office I have ever been too. I printed out all of my patient forms and took the time to fill out all 10 sheets. They never took them to enter my information into the computer. That was the first red flag. They gave me the wrong instructions for my prescription and I didn't notice until I was a week into taking it. I was on hold for the better part of an hour!! When I finally spoke with someone she was extremely rude. She refused to get a nurse or a doctor to speak with me. She then asked for a phone number to call me back. I needed answers as to what steps to take next so I asked again to speak with someone who could advise me. She then placed me on hold for another twenty minutes. I was then sent to someone's voicemail and never received any answers!!

Still very weary of anything UNC health has to offer. Would not recommend. UNC has not earned my seal of approval in an way shape or form.

I’m always seen right on time and my doctor Peter McIlwaine takes the time to know my needs as a person more than just a patient. This place deserves way more 5 star reviews I feel like the current rating is misleading!
