“Love this place! Good prices and great vibes. Very convenient location, once I ran down from The Raleigh Times to grab a flannel because I didn't expect it to be cold on the roof, and it's one of my favorite flannels.”
“Massive selection of clothes, home goods, baking supplies, sporting equipment, and books!! Lots and lots of books and a lot of them in fairly good shape!! A great little thrift store.”
“The best thing about this little gem of a shop is their staff! So friendly and helpful. You never know what you might find, so come often! Great prices and an even better cause. We are happy to support them!”
“A very amazing experience at this store. The owner was very friendly and gave us a great deal on a large volume of items my wife and i were purchasing. It was such a great deal we decided to buy more itms that she also gave us a great deal on. Don't let the outside of the place fool you. This place is a must stop for deal shoppers.”
“I enjoy shopping at this location a lot! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the customer service is fantastic! Joy the manager is always so pleasant and helpful when I see her, she goes out of her way every time I am in to say hello and chat with me and always quick to help me if I need anything or have a question. Love her!”
“I love this thrift store! I recently discovered it and I have only been a couple of times now but every time I go the energy there is so positive and fun that it is contagious. The staff can be overheard singing to the fun music and laughing with each other. They have great prices and a great selection. If you follow them on social media they post all their sales for the week on Sunday or Monday.”
“This is one of the best they thrift stores for household items I've ever been in. They have tons of really good quality items in great shape for really good prices.”
“This is by far my favorite thrift shop in the area! I've gotten some really good deals on kid's and women's clothes. Highly recommend -- not to mention they raise money for dogs and cats!!”
“Nice small thrift shop with options for designer like Coach and things from $1 to $55. My cousin is smaller and she found some awesome clothes and a handbag. Parking is free and in the back is a historical cemetery. They had sunglasses for $3-$20, cool earrings including ones with clips having red dot ? so easy to spot. Enjoyed peeking through everything.”
“This is a nice store. They are always organized and always polite. All items may not be as cheap as you want because they are sending the money they make to help abuse survivors, and I'd definitely pay more for that cause. In addition, most of the items have been researched before pricing and are reasonable, and they almost always have some sort of sale going on (it's posted on the door). Sometimes they have free items outside, and I took a futon home with the help of one of the workers who let me borrow moving straps AND secured it to the car for me. This is a great place and I will follow them when the store relocates very soon.”
“I always love my experience at Uptown Cheapskate! I primarily thrift when I shop, and Uptown is one of my favorites. They have good quality clothing that is organized and easy to find. The staff is always helpful and friendly as well!”
“To be honest, I was nervous heading out because I wasnt sure about the quality of the goods we were going to be looking at, and I was blown away! The prices were very reasonable. The staff was friendly, but super busy. We were able to borrow a tape measure from them, and they will willing to hold the table (up to 3 days) so we could go get our vehicle ready for transport. I got a beautiful wooden table (5ft x 3ft) for $56, and a bed canopy for $4! I was super happy! The canopy works with our high ceilings (we have 9 ft ceilings).
There are also cats and kittens up for adoption in the same building. That was the only thing I wasn't a huge fan of. The cats are kept sort of in the middle of hustle and bustle, with no where to hide and their litterboxes out in the open. Thats just me as a cat person, though. I think everyone else loves them. I wish they had one space of privacy in case they wanted to get away from the people.”
“Stop in at Missions Thrift for a great deal to support missions. Wednesday is senior day, you get a discount, Thursday is ladies day you get a discount. Shop local and find some great finds from shoes, clothes, houseware items, furniture, toys, jewelry, boutique items.”
“This thrift store is well organized and fairly priced. It's not the biggest thrift store, but don't let that fool you. They have quality used items and limit down the clutter, so the space is used up well.”
“It is always a pleasure to stop in and find new treasures in a store where you are welcomed so warmly by the staff. One person stands out above all… Mario. His compassionate and caring personality will keep current and new guests coming into the store. If you see him, go out of your way to extend your hand to him. I assure you, he deserves it.”
“Wow today was such an amazing surprise. They have the right amount of vintage and gently used items today. I hardly ever come in and not at this time of day. So I really encourage y'all to drop in, especially if you love vintage items.”
“Love this store! They have a great selection of furniture, tiles, pictures, and lamps. I'm only leaving 4 stars because some of their prices are a little high. Not terrible, but could be better. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area!”
“Helping Hand Mission are such kind and wonderful folks and have a great mission. I try to find local organizations that are directly helping the community for all my donations, rather than the big chains and such, and Helping Hand is one of the only places around Raleigh that takes homewares in good condition like plates and bowls and kitchen appliances. They are always kind and the location is very convenient for dropping things off. I'm shocked at the reviews by people who are so distraught over not being able to treat them like a free trash disposal service. They cannot operate for free and they cannot store an infinite amount of furniture. If they decide they can’t take your furniture, obviously they're not going to haul large items to the dump for you for free, that is an absurd expectation. If you're sure that the furniture is in great shape and shouldn't go to waste at the dump, try calling a second or third place, like Green Chair or Habitat ReStore, or post it on Facebook Marketplace for free if someone picks up. There are options! But don’t berate these kind people who are just trying their best to help folks in our community.”
“Come for kitties, stay for the deals. Like most thrift stores, CFP has a rotating selection of goods. Excellent prices on used books. Plus, they are a rescue agency for pets like cats and kittens. Every dollar you spend there furthers this mission.”
“Love this store! They have a great selection of furniture, tiles, pictures, and lamps. I'm only leaving 4 stars because some of their prices are a little high. Not terrible, but could be better. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area!”

9005 Baileywick Rd, Raleigh“Great location and easy to donate even on a Saturday morning - the only issue I have had over the past two years is no help with unloading and very little respect for fragile items as it seems more important to fill the bin than protecting the individual donations - this is where incentives between giver and receiver are not aligned.”
“This is an alright thrift store but the selection is pretty limited and things can be pricy. Unfortunately they don't have much in terms of clothing, but they did have a good selection of jewelry which was also fairly priced. They were also really friendly here!”
“Very nice store. Very clean, large selection of items. Well lit, in a great location. Has lots of clothes, plus a good selection of framed pictures, nic-nacs, kitchen items. Also saw crutches, roll about walkers and wheelchairs.”

4401 N New Hope Rd, Raleigh“This Goodwill has kind and helpful employees. There's a massive variety of items from clothes to toys to artwork for your walls and much more. Everything is sold for excellent prices, and much of it is shockingly good quality. Some items are even new. Definitely one of the cleaner and more organized Goodwill locations I've seen. They also accept contact-less dropoff items at the side door.”
“All the stars go to Lee!! He was the cashier today when my friend I were shopping!! He greeted us with a warm welcome and a smile!! Very polite and kind!! Though this is not my favorite location due to many reasons however having customer service like Lee provided today, it’s well worth coming back. As we checked out he said “Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!” I have NEVER been to a location with much exceptional customer service!! This world needs more people like him!! All the stars for Lee!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“You never know what you will find at any GCF. I had been looking for bedside lamps on Amazon for weeks. The local GCF had 2 lamps that caught my eye were such a great price. They are adjustable height lamps that work perfectly and had shades included. My plan is to bedazzle and bling lamps but current conditions are so nice I just cleaned lamps and put new bulbs in to start using them. I cant believe I only paid $7.99 each. Very sturdy, classic lamps were a true steal when you consider even at Ross ,Marshall's or other discount stores these lamps would easily sell for over $50 each. Now im pulling them into my Alexa system and LET THERE BE LIGHT”

1677 N Market Dr, Raleigh“You can find lots of stuff here. Very cheap and the things here are actually kind of nice. You can actually sometimes find expensive brands here. I come at least once a week to this Goodwill. Have never had any problems and the people who work here are nice. Just never buy the stuffed animals, pillows, or bedding from here. It's probably disgusting. Just don't. But yeah the clothes are nice and there's a good selection. It's very organized and I like that.”
“Salvation Army thrift store of Raleigh is a great place to shop. It's a huge store that has a lot of stuff for the whole family. I see the same friendly faces every time I'm in there. This place is one of the best thrift stores in the area. The items are in good condition and there is always a good selection. You won't be disappointed.”
“One of my favorite thrifts in Raleigh. Very well priced! Their prices have not skyrocketed like some others. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Clothing is sorted by size! Don't hesitate to visit this one!”
