We have been so happy at Goddard. Both of my children are now attending Goddard as of Jan 2023 and June 2023. They have flourished there and we continue to be impressed as they move through the different classes.

Great childcare center!!! Highly recommended. Have used several other highly regarded centers in Raleigh and Goddard 5401 stands out!

I was driving from a park when I saw the school. However, the receptionist was not very helpful. I went in, and I asked if there was a tuition form or anything that I could see and take back home She stated that you must take a tour and they have some available for today in order to find out the price. How ridiculous is that. Ok I get it sales they want to build value before telling you price

Our son has been at this Goddard location for the past year and a half. We absolutely love the staff, the facilities, and the care they provide. The intellectual development our son has shown when he is in vs out of school is remarkable. They use the Tadpoles app so you can see photos and read updates about what they are learning, it feels like family! Would highly recommend this Goddard location anyone.

We love love love The Goddard School of Raleigh (5401 North)! The entire staff is wonderful, caring and knowledgeable- it is a hard job working with children all day but the staff is so sweet and patient! Leaving your child in the care of someone else is tough but I know our daughter is safe, happy and having fun at this location :) Nothing but good things to say and we are so thankful to have found such an amazing center for our daughter! Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed working with the team(administrator and teachers). It is a very professional and welcoming environment. The children were actively engaged and seem to be enjoying their surroundings. The teachers were also kind and nurturing. I could visibly tell that they have a genuine love and passion for educating young children. It is a great experience to be apart of the team and this is the primary reason for my return!

We had a negative experience here. On the first day, I experienced an awkward confrontation (she didn’t introduce herself or ask me to sit), with the owner because our son had a tough morning. He was experiencing anxiety being there and instead of her being calm, she approached me with “what’s going on?” I was blindsided because when I spoke to the staff earlier, her staff let me know that he was doing fine. That set the tone for the rest of the week. While my son was having challenges, his daily logs didn’t reflect any of that. We only found out until we had an end of the week meeting with the Director. We felt comfortable with Kim (Director), and trusted that she was going to do everything possible to help our son feel safe. However, upon almost finishing our meeting, the owner barged in and completely changed the tone. We left feeling confused. I realized that although her staff has experience and education in child development, the owner doesn’t and she undermines them. It becomes extremely confusing for us parents navigating that sort of relationship. Overall, the owner was erratic and lacks interpersonal skills which can be challenging for parents. I had to look up her experience and she’s a graphic designer, smh. If her staff was given autonomy, I think it would be fine but you can tell she’s too involved and doesn’t know how to handle basic child development challenges. It’s a shame because the facility is really nice.

As a former teacher I would not recommend this school at all. The owner knows nothing about childcare. The director and assistant director choose to treat the teachers disrespectfully when they are just trying to do their best for them and the kids. They do not care that things that other teachers are doing are not developmentally appropriate because they have their favorites and choose to discipline the teachers who are trying to do the right thing. You would be better off with a nanny who knows what they are doing. You will spend too much money for the administrative staff to treat their teachers horribly.

We LOVE Goddard 5401 North. Our baby started on the day the center opened and we’ve been so happy with the love and care that they show not only to our child, but to all of the children. It’s one big family and everyone is super sweet but most importantly they are knowledgeable. They are experts at what they do and they truly want the best experience for your child. It wasn’t easy sending my infant to childcare (especially in the midst of a pandemic) but they truly have taken every precaution to keep everyone as safe as possible. Now, he’s a toddler and I have a mile long list of things he’s learned from “school”. Ms. Mona, Ms. Kimberly, and Ms. Erica are so amazingly helpful. We’ve loved working with Ms. Anissa, Ms. Tomyra, Ms. Jessica, Ms. Josie, Ms. Tracy, Ms. Daisy, and Ms. Lori… the list just goes on and on because everyone truly is that amazing. Every time he moves up a class we fall in love with his new teachers all over again. It’s a great feeling to know that your children are safe and cared for when they’re not with you, so we appreciate the Goddard 5401 team and would recommend this school to ANYONE! :)

I genuinely like coming to work everyday and love the children. The owner, director, and assistant director take the time to listen to me and is very patient with me and my coworkers. They always have the time for us and show genuine concern for us as the staff, the children and parents.

I have nothing but great things to say about this facility. We have never had a bad experience and the staff are all amazing people who work hard to provide a safe, exciting, and fun place for our daughter to learn. The staff go above and beyond and it shows. We feel like the care very much about the safety and we'll being of our daughter. WOULD RECCOMEND!

We love The Goddard School at 5401 North! The owner, center director and teachers are all so wonderful and attentive, and everyone feels like family. We feel so comforted knowing our two children are safe, well cared for and loved!
