My step daughter took her car into Take 5 for an oil change the afternoon of 10/13/24
During the oil change the company broke the oil pan through excessive torque, cracking it and are now refusing to pay for the damage they inflicted.
The estimated cost of the repair is $3,000.
Once the estimate was received, they called to deny responsibility. We have data showing otherwise.
Since this time they have failed to respond to our last four calls and have failed to produce in writing an explanation of what happened and why they are denying the repair.
It's been two weeks and still nothing.
Clearly you should rethink quick turn, low cost oil places like this one if you value your car. STAY AWAY OR YOU COULD BE FACED WITH ISSUES SIMILAR TO MINE.

This was supposed to be a quick oil change. It took an hour and thirty mins. And it was not a lot of cars there. When we pulled up there was a car in the bay, the car was there for 45 mins! My husband and I were convinced it was because this car had got additional services so we waited thinking, “Ours won’t be that long” wrong! The guys were playing and joking having a good time in the bay, standing around and in general, just moving slow. This was my first time there my husband had been a few times and typically is done pretty quick. On this good Saturday, it was horrible. Then one of the guys joked that they had switched our payment with another car. The other car paid for our oil change so he was going to charge us for his oil change. This was hilarious to him, but after my wait and a rescheduled appointment, I was in no mood. The other guy that originally was helping us told us not
To listen to that guy that’s not what happened he just switched the receipts. At this point I was just ready to get out of there. Then the guy brings our card and receipt to us and says “Can I tell y’all something?… I’m ready to go home!” To which I wanted to respond, “I was ready to go over an hour ago!!!” But decided that with my current attitude/mood that would have came out wrong, so I held my tongue. I don’t know if this was a one-off experience or not, but I will more than likely never go back.

It was my first time going here for an oil change. I'm a dealer working with used cars. I had this mercedes, and I had not registered this car to my dealer yet. So I called a towing company to tow it to take 5 for an oil change. So then I waited in line to get an oil change, and then I was told to pull up. After I pulled up, I told them I needed an oil change. Then I walked to go grab a bite to eat. When I returned I saw my car parked. I went and asked them if they car is done and the payment price. They said that nothing was done, and they went and parked it outside. I called that same towing company. They towed my car back to my dealer. So I spent half a thousand dollars on towing just for nothing. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!

Everything about my experience was amazing here. I called first to inquire about my oil change and they were extremely helpful. When I arrived they greeted me promptly and offered water. Wanya and I didn’t get the woman’s name but she was super nice as well. I will definitely be back again.

I’m usually very nervous to go get my oil changed because it feels like a bother but everyone here was very extremely nice!! I felt super comfortable and thought everyone did a great job. I had to take a few calls while it was getting done and they were very nice about it. This is the place I’ll be going from now on!
