I highly recommend this salon for loc styles! Decided to start my loc journey and got tired of my hair looking unkept plus had a hard time finding a place that wasn’t too overpriced (some places were literally charging $1000!) however my first set of locs were only $95 so that’s what made me want to start here. The stylist is was very nice and answered all my questions. I was in and out of the chair and my hair was looking way better than when I came. I already put in a request for my next appointment for loc retwist.

I visited Krika's salon last week and had a great experience. First, I appreciated the fact that she starts ON TIME!!! She also has early appointments -- as early as 6 am. LOVE IT! I have short hair (2 inches) and am at a point where I needed to learn new techniques/styles. Krika did comb coils for me and showed me how to do them myself (yeah right). I was in and out in less than 90 minutes. I also like her line of products that she used on my hair. The best part about that, there was no hard sell of the products at the end. I will definitely continue to visit the salon as my hair continues to grow out. Thanks Krika.

I would not recommend Sophie Sunflower to anyone. She was referred to me. I told her I was allergic to hair dye and she did a patch test and everything was fine. I got my hair dyed just fine. She attempted to give me a highlight and my hair would not life. She did not test me with the highlight mixture. That night my face started to swell. I went to the emergency room for treatment. I let her know what happened. After I left the emergency room I went by her salon. She wanted me to pay around $83 for conditioner. I told her I would pay her when I got paid. She never called me the whole week to see how I was doing. She only called me for the money a week later. She never offered to treat my hair for free. My hair was long and has broken off. It was badly damaged. She should have known to test me on all the products she was going to use. She even said some people have a sensitivity to peroxide or ammonia. She never took responsibility and offered to get my hair back healthier. I told her you only care about money. She charged very high prices. I paid around 180 for color and no style. She said oh you want it styled. I went back to my old beautician to restyle it because she did a terrible job. She is all about money . Please find a educated, competent hairdresser. This happened in August and my hair has not grown back.

I've gone there twice. I've had regular twist and large twist. Both came out great. She got me in and out. She also did a trim to shape my hair which worked well for me because I didn't want a full style cut. I am excited to try her other natural styles.

I visited the salon on the recommendation of a friend who has beautiful long locs. I have a short natural. I was pleased with the tapered shaping and wash and go I received. She was on time and I wasn’t shuffled between other customers. There was a calming presence in the shop devoid of drama, etc.I was in and out (with drying time) in under an hour. Her prices were comparable and honestly much better than some of the fancy salons I see charging hundreds of dollars for short natural hair. I’ve already made my next appointment.Service: Body Waxing

Omg she worked a miracle on my hair today. There was no wait, she listen to my hair concerns and I was in & out. I had a wash, trim, blow dry, and deep conditioner. Stylist trimmed a lot of damage and gave my hair a fresh start. I will definitely return.Service: Haircut

This salon is not like any others I've been to. The is little to NO waiting. The stylist gives u 100% of her attention from start to the dryer (she let me get my afternoon nap). I am a proud client.

Krika is a nice person. This was my second time going to her for a Pravana brown hair color to cover grays. She did a good job the first time. But since the first appointment she has downgraded locations and used water (yes water) to mix the color. That should have been a red flag because I don't know of any demi-permanent color instructions that say "add water." Alas, I deferred to her knowledge and expertise. Fast forward, my hair color came out black. I am pale. Black hair is not a good look against a pale face.Unfortunately, I didn't see it was black until the next morning when I was in my bathroom with better lighting than the salon. I was in tears. I was horrified. I called and texted several times to ask her for help (i.e. how can we or I fix this) but she never responded.

I went to Sophia Sunflower Salon this afternoon to start my transition to natural hair. We had an initial consultation on Thursday and today Krika washed my hair and gave me a two strain twist style with flat twists in the front. I really enjoyed my first time experience and am adjusting to and really liking my "new" look. Krika is very professional and answered ALL of my questions and concerns about transitioning with care and ease. I deeply appreciated that and I look forward to returning to her because she is very knowledgeable and created a look for me exactly as I asked for with a twist!! Thank you so much Krika and I will see you very soon.

I took my 3 year old daughter to get her hair done and teach me how to style her hair for an individual child class session, and it was excellent. Krika took her time to demonstrate and show me the proper techniques for various styles. She had me do the styles, as well. I feel a lot more confident in styling and doing more difficult styles. My daughter had a great time, and she even learned from the experience. I highly recommend Krika’s child hair care class.

QUESTION: How much would you expect to pay for a FIVE YEARS OF AGE child's deep conditioning, trim, wash and two strand-twists? Ok, so keep that price in mind. Now.....how much would you expect to pay for a five years of age child's deep conditioning, wash and two strand-twist ONLY?!?!?! Did anyone say $100.00 for either option. WTFreak?!?! Do I need to get another side hustle? $100.00 SERIOUSLY?!?!?! Wash + deep conditioned + two strand-twist = $100.00!
