I have been a customer of this location periodically since it opened at Crabtree. A few months ago, I went in to get a particular product that I have used for a long time. My shade was empty on the shelf. So, as I have been told by store associates in the past to do, I opened the drawer underneath and pulled out my shade. One of their employees kicked the drawer closed with their foot, almost slamming my fingers in it, and said, "Don't go in there," and walked off. They didn't ask if I needed help finding a product. just kicked the drawer out of my hand and walked off. They could have said, "Excuse me ma'am we ask our customers not to go in the drawers." If they were busy, they could have sent a colleague over, but that didn't happen. Another employee saw, came over to me, and explained nicely that they ask their shoppers not to open the drawers. She asked what I was looking for and got it for me. She was very nice. I don't have a problem with being asked not to go in the drawer. I even understand why that might be their policy. As I have said, I've been going to that location since it opened there. I have actually had employees tell me it's ok to look in the drawers in the past. Maybe it's a new policy or maybe the ones who told me to look in the drawers in the past, didn't care about that. That doesn't matter to me. But the behavior of the employee who was so rude to me by physically kicking the drawer out of my hand freaked me out. I won't be back. I've started going to the location at The Village District, or I just order online. That's easier anyway. It's a shame because I've never had a bad experience there before. But this one incident lost me.

I was intimidated to go into this store because I have not worn makeup in 20+ years. It was my son’s bday and we wanted to go so we did.
The salesperson who helped us, Evie, was so down to earth and helpful. You also get a free gift if you sign up to be a rewards member and my son got a birthday gift as well. Highly recommend!
After Sephora he wanted to go to Ulta on Wake Forest Road. Not nearly as nice and Sephora’s customer service was 1000% better.

My friends & I arrived an hour before closing to try and get a foundation match. Despite near closing, Hannah took her time to match all of us, was very friendly, & was patient w/ answering all of our questions. We had the wrong idea of what our undertones were this whole time! With brown skin, it’s so easy to assume that you have warm undertones. Not only did Hannah match our foundation shade perfectly, she was also able to do it quickly. She’s honestly so talented! I ended up buying the foundation and skin tint she matched me to.

While the store was crazy busy, Martin was incredibly helpful and professional. He made it all a pleasant experience! I wish all retail employees were like him.

I’ve always loved shopping at Sephora and not once have I needed to return a product until today. I was sold some foundation that the store assistant said matched my skin tone perfectly. Well it didn’t. I was told that Sephora had a great returns policy so I took it back. As I don’t live near the Crabtree Mall Raleigh it took me several weeks before I could get back there. I was honest and told the assistant that it had probably been around 8 weeks since I purchased it. She bluntly told me that there wasn’t anything they could or would do.
Sorry Sephora. You’ve just lost yourself a customer.

If I could give this store no stars I would the staff alone was horrible. So grateful I don’t live in the area because if I did I wouldn’t shop at Sephora ever again. While I was there , the “manager” Sierra was “helping” me.. I could’ve done without her. She wreaked of weed and was over the top loud and obnoxious. The store wasn’t well kept and smelled weird. Stay away and if you see a bigger girl with tacky tattoos run far away.

3/2/24. Went into Sephora looking for item. The store was out of control. Sales clerks were busy however I tried to ask one of them to point me into direction of item and she ignored me twice. Tried another guy he said I am already helping someone. Sometimes it takes a multi tasker to work in these conditions. I found another clerk hiding from everyone. Everyone wonders why no one wants to shop, probably because you get bad customer service or none at all. Sephora, figure this out!!

Went to this location because online it said they had the lip gloss I wanted in stock. When I got there, the shelf was bare. I asked the associate for help, she called into the back and said they had a shipment of the lipgloss and would grab it. She told me it would be 10 minutes for them to get it. I waited for a bit and asked the associate to have them put it behind the counter and I would return in a bit to grab it. 20 minutes later I come back and asked the same associate if they put it behind the counter. She calls to the back for the 4th time just to tell me that they couldn’t reach the box??? So you have an item in stock but you aren’t willing to move boxes to help your customers. Store was a mess and I will not be going to this location when the village district location is much more organized with more helpful associates.

I was not happy with my shopping experience at this particular Sephora. Low stock, no birthday gifts. I returned my items and went to Ulta.

The staff here was incredible. Everyone spoke to myself and my fiance. The makeup selection is incredible especially that Rihanna Fenty.
