Absolutely love Sam and Bills! Ashley my hairstylist always does a fantastic job!! she’s been my hairstylist for the last several years and I would highly recommend her! <3 she really pays attention to detail and what your needs are making sure they’re always met!! 10/10 experience.

I was very pleased, and Chris had some great suggestions. My biggest problem was its high end, and I just didn't fit In. Plus, he I upstairs, and I can't climb them due to health reasons. I will not be going back, although he is a great stylist and a nice person. Ty Dora H

I have been seeing Ashley Geel for six months and could not be happier that I found her at Sam and Bills. Prior to meeting Ashley I had been to three different stylists in the Raleigh area over the three years that I have been living here. I just couldn’t find the right fit, and my hair was suffering from dehydration and over-processing. I told Ashley my concerns and that I wanted to get on a healthy hair journey and lean into my natural color. Ashley spent time dedicated to not only improving the health of my hair but also ensuring that I felt good about the process along the way. I couldn’t be happier with her service, her kindness, and I look forward to our conversations every appointment. Highly recommend!!!

(Men’s haircut)
Been here 2 times, because it was so highly rated I tried to give it a second chance because my first experience was awful. I do not know the experience as a girl getting my hair cut here because I am a man, but if you are a man. Do NOT get your hair cut here. I’m sure they’re good with girls hair but both times I have received cuts here they have not cut evenly on both sides of my hair and have also cut too much hair off. Already too much hair was cut off beyond what I asked but even still one side had an additional INCH longer than the other side. Not what I asked for and I will not going back ever again.
Edit: They have reached out to me and were willing to refund or fix the cut. I already went somewhere else to fix it so I don’t need another haircut. However, I’m leaving it at 3 because I do not believe that just because I left a bad review my experience is special. It should not have happened the first time let alone twice. Very nice people, but I do not believe it is a men’s haircut salon.

Sam and Bills have been taking care of my hair for many years. They have a variety of stylists to suit everyone's personality. The shop is vibrant and friendly. Their work areas are clean and well organized. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They offer a wide selection of hair care products and don't force anything on you. They make suggestions and leave the decision to you. I highly recommend Sam and Bills for all your hair care needs. I should note I am a male and get treated with the same attention and care as everyone I see in the shop.
Hair type: I am a male with long hair and they do a fantastic job of keeping it looking healthy and stylish.

I had a great experience at Sam and Bill's and loved working with my stylist, Ashley. She was clearly knowledgeable about my hair type and gave me a cut I love! Which is unusual because I usually hate hair cuts for at least a few days. I'll be going to Ashley in the future for my haircuts, for sure!

Today was my first visit to Sam and Bill's hair salon, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience! Typically I'm pretty anxious and shy when it comes to salons - but everyone was so kind and welcoming. As I waited in the lobby, I had a great conversation with Chris (I hope I'm remembering their name correctly) who offered a lot of helpful information on hair colors that would look good with my skin tone. After that, I met my stylist, Ashley, who is....10/10, chef's kiss, amazing! She was so personable and kind, but also very knowledgeable on hair styles and care. I love the cut and style she gave me, and my hair has never felt healthier. I would definitely recommend her for colors, cuts, styles, and everything in between. I can't wait to come back!

Sandy was super sweet, but she's not the person to go to for curly hair. The cut was questionable but I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt so I didn't say anything at the time. The styling experience was horrendous. She was literally pulling so hard on my hair while putting in gel that I had to cry out. She used a diffuser and SHOOK IT AROUND while it was in my hair and on. It was no surprise that my hair looked like a bird's nest when I walked out. After styling it myself it is ok....except I just noticed the one side is a full inch shorter than the other. That's after styling, so straight would be multiple inches. I'm sure she is good at what she does for straight hair, but calling herself a curly stylist and charging those prices (yikes!) is not reality. I hate to give a bad review, but I want to make sure other curlies go elsewhere.

My curls have never responded as well as they did after Sandy's cut! It was so much quicker than it normally takes with other stylists and while it seemed extreme in the moment, it was the perfect cut to lighten up my curls and make them bounce more, which is exactly what I asked for. Also, the price is way more reasonable than a lot of other places I've been and the work here is way better. Thank you so much!Services: Hairstyling

Came in for the first time today for a haircut with Andrea and she is the absolute sweetest!! She did an amazing job - I feel like a new person with my fresh cut haha! Thank you so much, Andrea!! I will definitely be back the next time I need a trim!
