I went to my appointment in the middle of august, almost a month now. I had Allie as my stylist, had shag/layered hair that I was not happy from previous cut and she had managed to cut it into just one single layer bob- or so I thought! I had went home and family had questioned the haircut. It was an uneven cut from the bottle and can see the two layer difference. Somehow thought stylist would have caught it since she is able to see the back of my hair. Took matter to my own hands and had sibling fix the uneven cut.

Based on the reviews I so wanted to love this salon but had such a terrible experience. Before I go for any expensive service at salon, I like to try out with a simple service like a blowout/styling.I would say I walked in with better hair than what I left with. Before my service with Allie I communicated that I have an event to attend so need my hair to be done well.1. I have thick hair which I left she didn’t know to handle.2. No proper conditioning and she over-dried my hair before starting to style which made them super frizzy3. No proper hair sectioning, she just randomly started taking big chunks of hair to dry and when I requested her to take smaller sections, she refused to do so.4. I had to guide her section by section on how style my front bangs as all the hair were going in different direction and when I asked her style it correctly she said that’s how my hair was, and when I showed her a picture I had taken earlier that day before walking in and then she agreed to correct a bit.All in all my hair looked terrible, my family kept asking me what was wrong with my hair.

First time visit. Mama and daughter hair day :) we both had a good 8+ inches chopped off. My daughter had Allie and I had Johnny. Both stylists were absolutely amazing! And took great care of both of us. They listened to our wants/needs and delivered above and beyond our expectations. Highly recommend these wonderful people. Will happily be a repeat customers.

The staff is always friendly, from the front desk team to all of the stylists. I’m of a certain age (let’s say somewhere over 50) and my stylist, Zoe does a great job keeping me “hip” for my age. She does a great job with my color and always styles it like I’m ready for a night on the town. Another stylist there, Johnny, always has the most fabulous shoes! I always make sure to look for him to see what shoes he’s wearing. He’s also very kind. Definitely recommend this salon and my stylist, Zoe.Services: Hair coloring

Zoe is an incredibly talented stylist! I’ve been with her since she started and I’ve never regretted it. She always understands what I want done even if I don’t have anything particular in mind. I’ve been in her chair for two years! I’ve gone from blonding a few times to back to my natural color with some lowlights and money pieces. Happy my the result every single time! The staff at Salon Blu are all so kind and they have the prettiest hair. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the salon itself is gorgeous! Highly recommend. I received a surprising email this week regarding my stylist:Dear Salon Blu Brier Creek guests, We are writing to inform you that Elena has made the decision to resign and will no longer be working at Salon Blu. We appreciate you and want you to know that we are here for you. We are happy to recommend another highly qualified stylist who can take care of your hair needs..."The truth of the matter is a bit more in-depth. Elena was planning to submit her notice and leave with no grievance, giving enough time for herself AND the administration time to prepare for the change. However, management discovered her intent and abruptly fired her.This shows to me a lack of care and concern for people in general. Life changes. Firing someone for trying to better themself in life is not the way. I know many of the remaining stylists do wonderful work, and I wish them the best dealing with management that obviously will disregard their best interests if and when they "dare" to take a different road.I won't be back, because even the small people should matter to those at the top.

Absolutely loved my experience! Vanessa is amazing. I have waist length long wavy hair & left feeling light weight & curlier than I've ever been. She didnt make me feel like my long hair was a burden or overcharge me for longer/thicker hair. Very friendly, clean, happy environment! New to the area and was really nervous about trying a new stylist. My first impression of the salon was relaxing, the salon was clean and the staff was nice. I have been to so many salons with my damaged hair NO ONE was able to fix it. I came across this salon and worked with Noel. I have to say this was the most professional, comfortable, relaxing, and clean salon I have been to in a while. I absolutely loved my hair and everyone was soo nice. I am so disappointed with my experience. I went in and said I wanted to start going from dark to blonde, which I knew couldn’t necessarily be done in one appointment but I did not think I would leave with half of my hair basically untouched! The highlights missed major chunks of hair so I was left with an golden/ashy in the front and brown in the back look. And the worst part was the stylist simply didn’t seem to care. She left me with the person she was training and had her check my color and do my toner. I literally saw the actual stylist for 25% of the service that I ended up paying over $300. I’ve been told I’ll get a call “in a few days” to address my concerns, which is so unprofessional for what I paid for the service. In the business world if you charge that much per hour you better be on the phone right away trying to keep your clients happy. If you can find another salon, I suggest you do so. I had a horrible experience with both the staff and management here. I had to go to the salon three different times for them to try to fix my hair that their stylist messed up and permanently damaged. They then told me there was nothing they could do to fix it and that I needed to contact management. I tried calling for a week straight and still never was able to talk to a manager or owner. They told me management would reach out and they never did. I’ve now been spending so much additional money trying to fix the problems they caused. The stylist and management were completely unhelpful and unprofessional throughout the entire process.ResponseEach time my hair was colored at your salon it progressively got worse with the stylist taking no responsibility for the damage. I understand hair is not always going to turn out as we expect or even like the inspiration pictures. However my hair was drastically worse and completely different than what I asked for. The even larger problem is with how your salon handled the situation. Unfortunately, I never was able to speak with a manager at any point. I was only able to speak with the front receptionist who was unable to explain or answer my questions. I was promised a call from either a manager or owner (even if it would take a couple weeks) and never got one. I was forced to go to another salon (after my scalp was burned and hair destroyed at Salon Blu) she was immediately able to give me my blonde color back in one sitting for a third of the price. Also, my payment was not 100% refunded. So, that statement is false. I don’t wish to continue this conversation but just want to make others aware of the poor communication and lack of customer service at Salon Blue.
