Great install. Very fast. They wrapped my window up with plastic the same day I broke it. They vacuumed the broken glass up when they installed the window. Very satisfied

The technician himself was great. This review is for the company as a whole. We used Safelite in the past to replace my husband's windshield and had a good experience. So when my windshield needed to be replaced, we went back to them. The quote I received online was $482.63, which I paid in full a week before the appointment. The guy arrived day of and tells me that I owe an additional $388.62. DOUBLE what my quote was. So my total price to replace my windshield was $871.25. This is beyond ridiculous. The only reason I paid out of pocket was because my auto insurance deductible was $500 and the original quote was less than that. But then you guys showed up and DOUBLED the cost on a whim. You guys are scammers and an absolute joke. Going forward, we will NEVER be using this company again.

Technicians did quality work on replacing the windshield and recalibrating sensors for my Tesla, however, they were not timely at completing the service.
I scheduled an appointment to have the front windshield of my Tesla replaced l at 4pm on a Wednesday. An agent called me Wednesday morning to let me know that there was an additional requirement of recalibrating the sensors. This was expected, and a pleasant reminder from the company. That agent also advised that it would not all be completed on that Wednesday. He advised that the window would be replaced at my appointment time, and the calibration, which takes around 2 hours, would occur first thing Thursday morning. I asked what the anticipated pick up time would be, and he politely advised that he couldn't give me a firm time, but 12 noon would be the absolute latest. With the information provided to me, I assumed that they should have repaired finished earlier in day. I had travel plans for Thursday, and unfortunately needed the car for those plans.
Thursday morning at 7:30, I was sent a message saying that my appointment was scheduled for 7:30 that day(which was easier than the time the text arrived) despite it actually being scheduled Wednesday at 4pm. I then got a message that they had just then started my service. I had to call in at 12pm to ask about my car, and was told that I could probably head over to pick it up.
I finally received the car around 12:45/1pm. I understand that this is only shortly after the latest pick up time, but the agent that called me and said that the car would be worked on Wednesday afternoon during my appointment, then finished first thing in the morning. This heavily implies that the service would be completed much earlier. This later pick up time regrettably greatly impacted my travel plans for that day. I wish that I had been told that service would only occur on Thursday, not the scheduled Wednesday time, I would have rescheduled.
As I said up front, quality work, but if you are under any form of time crunch, they will not respect the appointment times. I would recommend this location, but only if time is not a factor.

As soon as I left the shop after having my windshield replaced there was a crazy amount of whistling. I called the shop and the lady at the front desk told me that it was normal to hear whistling for up to two weeks while the glue dries. Two weeks later I’m make an appointment because I still had whistling while driving. When I arrive for my appointment. The tech came out and reattached the siding of the windshield and said it wasn’t snapped in properly, while he was efficient and kind, it irritates me that the front desk staff informed me incorrectly regarding how it was normal to hear whistling for up to two weeks.

Update 7.9.24: Auto Glass Now just replaced my windshield. They had ZERO complications, and also stated that there was barely any rust at all.
Instead of taking accountability for an employee who was too lazy to do the job. Safelite tries to gaslight the customer not only for the repair, but also on the review.
Go safe yourself a few hundred dollars and go to Auto Glass Now

Went through them for a windshield replacement. I wait 5 days for my appointment. This 20 something kid shows up, takes 2 seconds to look at the damage and tells me he won't replace anything because there could be a possibility of rust.
I've had 3 different mechanics look at my van over the past 2 weeks while doing repairs, and there is no rust on the frame of the windshield.
The kid tells me go to have a body shop confirm there's no rust, and then Safelite will come back and do the windshield replacement.
If I'm being honest with you, the appointment was for July 5th, on a Friday afternoon, and this kid just seemed like he was over his work week and wanted to go home. There's no rust on my van, I just got declined for a repair because the dude wanted to go home. If they were concerned about the vehicle's age, then why didn't Safelite tell me to have an inspection done on the vehicle prior to my appointment? I listed the vehicles year make and model when I booked the appointment.
ALSO, for the readers, I just got an appointment with AutoGlassNow here in Raleigh for a $312 replacement when Safelite quoted me $435, so like $120 cheaper, and they come to your house as well. I recommend them, as they're not hiring unprofessional kids that decline service just because they're ready to go home on a Friday.
Note: In the photos, those dark spots are leaves, not rust.

I had an appointment today. I had a very small chip in my front windshield. The 20 year-old kid told me it would be 15 to 20 minutes and it would be fixed. As I waited in the hot lobby area where there is no air conditioning, I thought my car would be in good hands. After 20 minutes had passed, the young kid tells me as he was taking the machine off. It cracked the whole windshield. He also continues to tell me that it’s really hot outside so that’s probably why. The day prior when this happened I even took it through the car wash and there was no issues. Listen I wasn’t born yesterday. The kid failed at the job he was doing or missed a step as I could tell from his nervous voice. Going from a 60 to 70 fix to a 1000 dollar deductible. Y’all should pay at least for half if not more for this. If this how you treat military I can only imagine the civilian sector. Very disappointed as Safellite has a high reputation to uphold to! Do better be better!

I am so unhappy with this place. I had to get a mechanic to fix the window. It turns out that the technician did not complete the job. He was supposed to add glue to the window regulator so the window can perform as normal. Unfortunately, I learned this job was crappy when I had to hire someone to review their work!

Unprofessional and wasted my time. Safelight had my appointment time frame between 1-6pm. At 4pm I called and they told me I was the last person scheduled. If this was the case why was my time frame starting at 1PM. At 6 pm I called and the office was closed. So there is nobody I could talk to and the Technician never reached out. This is the worse experience possible. Still never heard from safelight.

The service technician was friendly and did his job well. However, he parked on my lawn without asking for permission, which was disappointing and showed a lack of respect for my property. It would be great if their team could pay more attention to respecting private spaces.

They stayed past their regular hours to ensure my windshield was replaced. I got to their place past 8pm to pick it up and they did a beautiful job on my Tesla.

WARNING: During the initial appointment Feb 22, 2024, the technician failed to arrive due to an incorrect contact number being provided. Consequently, I was compelled to reschedule the appointment. Upon the technician's arrival for the second attempt, I was informed that the windshield could not be repaired due to the damage exceeding 6 inches. This was particularly frustrating as I had explicitly mentioned the extent of the damage during scheduling.
During the third appointment, the technician replaced the windshield, but unfortunately damaged my vehicle, resulting in the breakage of the windshield pillar. Subsequent attempts to ascertain the timeline for the replacement have been met with evasive responses, leading to considerable inconvenience as my vehicle remains unfixed.
Regrettably, the level of customer service provided has been substandard, marked by a lack of effective communication. I strongly recommend seeking services elsewhere. It is now April 6th and I'm still waiting on my car to be fixed. TRASH!

The WORST experience ever— we dropped my boyfriend’s truck off at 9:30am and came to pickup at 4:30 like they said (which first of all that is ridiculous amount of time to replace a windshield) we show up AND THEY HAD NOT EVEN MOVED HIS TRUCK!!! Then told us we have to wait two days to come back because they were all leaving for the day. First off if you mess up as a business (they said they put it in the complete pile on accident) YOU should make up for it and stay the extra 30 minutes to replace it. I am NOT happy with this service
