“I have always had “good” service from Ferrell gas. They always come when promised, driver leave a ticket and overall excellent service. I recommend them to all that need propane.”

“The guys were very accommodating and helpful during my visit. The vehicle was all set and was in very good condition and was easy to operate. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to work with the New Bern U-haul team and will certainly return if I ever need to rent more equipment from them!”

“Jay and Jaquel both were knowledgeable, efficient but most importantly had exemplary customer service. Kudos to these two! After being a customer for many years I was on the verge of giving up, but these two restored my faith in the company! Hats off to them!”

“With all the negative reviews, I had hesitation about renting from this location. That said I took the chance, and I’m glad I did! The people were very nice, there was no issue with miss quoting rates or anything like that as referenced in some of the other reviews, and they pick up and drop off process was painless. I could not ask for a better experience and, due to having multiple properties that I own, I would likely be renting vans and trailers again!”

“My experience with this U-Haul location started back in July when I moved from across the country and had a U-Box(Which is like a POD for those familiar) of my belongings shipped to and stored here. I also want to lead off with how satisfied I was with both Richard and Courtney for all of their help and accommodations, and how they both always had warm positive attitudes. While I was trying to find residence in the area I was staying with friends outside of Raleigh but would occasionally need to access my U-Box to get some things out of it. From when I had the box shipped, I was advised to always give the location a call at least 24 hours in advance so that personnel could plan ahead to have the box ready to access the following day. I found out later that this was largely due to the U-Box requiring to be moved from storage location to an accessible point for me by forklift, and that not all personnel were trained/certified to operate the forklift. Thankfully on the occasions when I was asked to wait an additional day or two until someone was on site or scheduled to operate the forklift, it was not a time issue for me. I accessed my U-Box at least 4-5 times since the summer, and I never got any sense of frustration or resentment when I would call ahead to access it. I admit I felt a little guilty at first that the staff would have to go through all the trouble to move things around, have the Box take up space during the day when I came to access it, then I would come, grab a couple things, and then they would have to put the Box and everything back in place again. Each time I called requesting access I was always met with the same positive response and assured it was no problem at all. On a day when rain was expected, they even moved my box into the garage area where the hitching is done so that it would be accessed more easily and safe from the elements. I had the most phone and in person interactions with Richard and Courtney, both of whom were very helpful and always in good spirits. I never felt like I was a burden or a trouble to them. I finally moved out all of my belongings this month. The only main Con regarding this location is unfortunately like a lot of U-Haul locations, it is often understaffed on very high traffic days of the week. I have had this experience at other U-Haul locations around the country, and it hardly seems like something to be blamed on the individual locations and more on the company as a whole. In addition, it also seems that a lot more customer assistance could be provided if more workers were trained in all areas of utility at the locations. Oftentimes the reason customers have to wait is because only one or two of the employees are available/trained/certified at a given time to : hook up a hitch, fill a propane tank, operate a forklift. And if they already are, then there should always be 2-3 people dedicated to working the desk on busy days, in addition to several people able to assist on the outside. After all of their years in existence, U-Haul knows that busiest days are often Friday through Monday, yet somehow I like many others have always walked into regular or even large sized locations to see a line of four people or so and only one employee working behind the desk. I understand that customers also need to exhibit a reasonable amount of patience as there are other people to be served, but again I feel the company knows which days are busiest and should know what areas where more staff are needed. When I was all done with my equipment and storage needs, Richard checked me out and I told him how satisfied I was. He told me that the company usually sends out requests for customer feedback and I could share what I liked. But he told me while he likes positive feedback of course, that he really would like any negative feedback, because that's how he will know how to improved things at his location. I feel that shows a lot about his character and made me feel even more appreciated as a customer for my opinion. Thank you to Richard, Courtney and their crew at this location for do”
