I wish there was a way to give less than 1 star. The employees I have dealt with at this company are unprofessional, inconsiderate and borderline unethical. I provide therapy to a child that previously received DME from Powell medical and is in need of repairs d/t safety issues. Richard accompanied me to the home and stated it would take approximately 4 weeks for the ordered items necessary for the repairs to arrive. I called him and left a message for him to return my calls which he never did. After approximately 6 weeks I contacted Lynn, in the office (whom I had initial contact with and was supposed to contact me back about a another necessity but never did) to inform her MOC would like to go with another company d/t poor customer service. Before I could tell her that she has the audacity to attempt to get the parent to order additional DME that was discussed during the 1 and only time I spoke w/ Richard at the child's home. Nothing was said about the long period of time that it was taking for equipment that was supposed to have been ordered. Lynn's excuse was they "had a hard time getting hold of the doctor". If that is the case that should have been relayed to myself and/or the parent. Lynn then told me let the new company do the repairs!! I was taken aback. Not only does the child have to wait for another rep to come to the home, the child has to wait for the parts to be ordered and delivered all while the equipment is not safe to use. Lynn seemed more annoyed that the family chose to go with another company than the child suffering d/t the company's negligence. I asked if Richard could please complete the job he started and she adamantly said "no". I think that is horrible business and just plain rude. It is also unfortunate that the innocent child has to suffer because of it. Health care professionals, parents and everyone....stay AWAY from this company. I have had other professionals tell me how Powell medical is not a good company. I wish I would have know that 6 weeks prior :(
