While the salon is nice and clean, my experience with this stylist was beyond disappointing. I came in for a silk press, but my hair is completely ruined and unwearable. It looks nothing like the pictures she advertises on her page. I’ve included pictures of both her advertised work and the results on my hair—there’s no comparison.
When I addressed my concerns, she rudely blamed my 4b/4c hair instead of taking responsibility for her poor work. She was late to the appointment, charged me extra without explanation, and acted completely unprofessional. I even told her I had to work later that day, so she knew I’d need to look presentable, but she still sent me out with my hair looking a mess.
While I did pay the price for the style, even though I expressed my lack of satisfaction with the style, the stylist gaslight me into thinking it looked good. However after seeing the back of my head at home, my sister contacted her, but the stylist was dismissive, rude, and showed no accountability. Either she’s lying about her skills or she simply didn’t care about me as a client.
While the wash and shampoo were fine, the rest of the service was unacceptable. If you’re Black and looking for a silk press, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. This stylist doesn’t have the skill or professionalism to deliver. Do not book her!

Amazing experience at Little Shop of Hairdos. Cut my hair exactly as I asked and colored it perfectly. Just moved to the area and it seems like I just found my new salon!

Enjoyed working with Little Shop of Hairdos and got a great cut. Studio was clean and everyone I met was kind and said hello. Had a relaxing time while getting my hair cut and styled.

My sister had recommended Little Shop of Hairdos to me and Shaina the hair stylist there did not disappoint, she was super nice and I love what she did with my hair, it came out a beautiful midnight raven color, I for sure plan to go to her again and again, the price is well worth it 10/10 will definitely go again

Just visited Little Shops of Hairdos today! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the conversation. I felt Shaina listened to what I wanted and delivered! I have not gotten a haircut in a very long time and I didn't feel shamed for cutting my own hair. I'm glad I met Shaina and look forward to working with her in the future!

I have been living in Raleigh for almost 14 years now and I have just found my forever hair salon home. I absolutely love little shop of hairdos! Shaina made me feel so welcome and she is super informative. You can tell she is very passionate and loves her work. She not only did an absolute amazing job on my hair but she is a very attentive person who sat and listened to what my hair goals are and absolutely nailed it. Very clean salon and great prices for the services I received. I am for once 1,000,000% happy with my hair and thrilled that I finally found my forever hair home!

Phenix Salon Suites is a business that rents suites out to other independent services and I was there recently to see a hair stylist. The building was easy to find and there was a map/directory at the entrance to help you locate the person/business you're seeing. The place looked clean and well kept.I had my hair cut for a donation at Little Shop of Hairdos. Shaina was friendly and professional and kept in touch with me throughout the whole process. Hair has to be prepared a specific way, completely dry, separated into multiple braided pony tails, cut, and then placed in ziploc bags. I was willing to have my head buzzed to maximize my donation and after being certain of what I wanted she proceeded to prep and buzz my hair. In the end she evened out what was left and cleaned up my neckline and sideburns. I was very satisfied with the results.Thank you for the fantastic service!Service: Haircut

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I was in the process of finding a new hair stylist who would be able to accommodate my crazy schedule. I was so hesitant to go anywhere else since I had been with the same stylist for 8 years. I am SO happy I found Shaina and made the move. Shaina was AMAZING with my transition! She listened to all my concerns and nailed my color perfectly! Scheduling with Shaina is so easy and I am so impressed with the scheduling confirmations…. With my busy schedule this is so helpful! Her suite is so fun and Shaina is so fun to talk with I look forward to my appointments! I find it hard to sit still for a long period of time but time flies when I am at the Little Shop of Hairdos! A huge bonus is her suite is so FUN!

I finally found a stylist that is down to earth and listens to what I want. She makes you feel welcome and comfortable. I had color and a trim. My hair looks and feels great! I highly recommend Shaina at Little Shop Of Hairdos. She is very professional and skilled.

This place is amazing! Shaina at Little shop of hairdos has the most creative and fun shop and it feels like she couldn't do that another salons. Shaina is the best! She makes you feel comfortable from the minute you contact her and when you come in for your consultation. She listens really well and gives great advice and then when it comes time to the hair appointment you feel like it's been no time at all even if you've been there for 5 hours! She is super down to earth and treats clients like old friends.I haven't had a true stylist since I lived in Florida 6 years ago and now I think I've definitely found the stylist. When I came in I really hadn't done anything with my hair and almost 2 years. I sent photos back and forth with her before the appointment and she got my hair exactly how I didn't know I wanted it! it worked with all my parameters and is growing out looking really good!
