Optimist is a City of Raleigh pool that is always super clean and staff is nice. It is open as much as they can despite a staff shortage during COVID. Members say it is one of the best pool in Raleigh, but a renewed membership can lead to disappointment when swimming is not possible in October. They answers all questions and recommend calling before you go.

The City of Raleigh pools have suffered a staff shortage during COVID, that continues even now. However, Optimist and other City of Raleigh pools open as much as they can. I'd recommend calling before you go, as they adapt to changes like staffing and other variables daily.
