I had a frustrating issue going on with my brakes after I had a tune-up a few years ago at this excellent shop. After bringing it over a few times in the last month, it appeared to be fixed. However, after taking it home and test riding it a few weeks ago, the problem still existed. Without going into further detail, the owner (Ken) and one of his superb employees (Charles) went above and beyond what any bike shop would have done to address the matter, and it finally seems like the crazy problem is now gone (hopefully for good). The customer service I received from Oak City Cycling in this situation was outstanding! I cannot endorse this shop highly enough, and look forward to doing business with them again in the future. Thank you Ken and Charles.

Someone fraudulently used my debit card to make a payment at this establishment. I called to let them know someone used my lost card. Gave them the time and transaction amount. The employee told me there was an account associated with the transaction. Instead of issuing a refund to me and charging the account that made the fraudulent purchase, the employee (who took time to ask his boss) told me, "there's nothing I can do." Incredible. This is obviously NOT an establishment based on honesty.

I’ve been to a lot of bike shops, mostly living in Asheville for mountain biking, and this place is what it’s all about. These people love bikes and will take care of you. It’s a special place.

I love this place. I will go out of my way to them. There are two other bike shops closer and easier to my house. They are always professional, polite, and they treat everyone the same. They actually listen to what you are saying and don't jump to the conclusion that you are a clueless person. Not to mention, they have the best customer service department in the business in the way of a very chill, yellow Labrador.

We went on a group ride from the shop. They have different activities that are held from there. If you're into cycling it definitely is a place worth checking out.
