We are new to this vet and our fur baby loves this staff. They have taken really good care of him and have given awesome advise on any concerns we've had.

Dr. Amelio is super pleasant and thorough with both our dog and cat. All the techs are kind and are super enthusiastic with all the pets.
Our reactive pup has had fantastic success at their boarding and daycare.

I have had my dogs seen at North Hills for almost 7 years. I find these doctors to be respectful, knowledgeable, and able to explain things on my level. I really love that pricing at North Hills is reasonable and not overpriced so I can afford to give my dog THE best treatment every time. Most importantly my dogs have never bulked at the idea of going into the office or being touched by anyone at their office. They respect my dog and his boundaries, although he may still give them a giant kiss if they don’t want it. I highly recommend North Hills and I drive 30-40min round trip to get there.

The staff here are extremely friendly and always know my dogs name on sight. Vets have always taken as much time as needed for my appointment - I never feel rushed. My dog also LOVES their daycare and is allowed to go even though he's not neutered yet - Rare!

Our cat got sick only 2 days after her annual well visit here. Lethargic, wouldn't eat. So I took her back to the vet. They had taken her away from the exam room for the annual well visit and who knows what other animals she came in contact with, so I asked to be present for the exam this time. We were also overcharged, which they did reimburse. When I insisted on staying with my cat during the sick cat visit, I was met with 'That's not what we normally do here'. They did finally allow me to be with my baby, but afterwards, the vet told me that my cat got angry, hissed and peed during the blood draw because she was anxious that I was present! How insulting! I can say this, I will never go there again! Yes my cat is well after being on antibiotics, but I'll never return. It's much too expensive as well. They are in a brand new big building and lots of barking dogs, no separate entrance for cats.

Worst experience in my long history of being a pet owner. From the staff to the Vet they were the most unprofessional and mean group of humans I’ve ever dealt with.I called four times to discuss treatment and cost. Then I was sent a quote by email , agreed to only the items on email and they charged $400 more than agreed on and blamed us for their miscommunication. When confronted the female vet said “ customers are not right” and accused. My husband of lying. This is definitely not a person that should work with the public or animals. I’ve never been so upset over care. for my dog. They are definitely only interested in padding their pockets and pushing extra fees and unnecessary products on you.

My dog left his kennel stay at North Hills Animal Hospital & Resort paralyzed with multiple pressure ulcers after being neglected for five days in August 2022. I later found out that he started having trouble walking after his first night there, and I was not notified until his back legs were paralyzed, he had not eaten in almost 24 hours, and he had gone to the bathroom on himself five days later. I had to initiate a transfer to an emergency vet because even after realizing this, the most the vet said they could do for him was run some tests before 6 p.m. when she left, which was only a couple of hours from the time we talked. She could not tell me what his care would be like overnight, only that she would not be there. I was traveling and could not get to him until much later that night, but they offered no solution for overnight care. I was told that a lot of the kennel staff was new and that although they knew to alert a vet of any issues, they did not.He was still paralyzed when I got to him, and the emergency vet diagnosed him with a herniated disc. I took him home early the next morning to make him more comfortable and say goodbye not expecting him to recover. To our surprise, he started walking again, but he has not regained all of the feeling in his feet, is very unsteady, and will be on medication to manage his pain for the rest of his life. In five days, he went from running, jumping, and chasing my other dog to being unsteady while walking. He was 15 at the time of his stay, but except for arthritis in his hips, he was a healthy and active senior dog. I am devastated that North Hills Animal Hospital & Resort has robbed him of his quality of life and my family of some of the time we would have had left with him. I have had a good experience with North Hills Animal Hospital & Resort’s daycare and vet services in the past, so I felt like this was a safe place for my dog. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through this and do not recommend their kennel services.

Moved to the area recently, and needed a new vet. This place has been wonderful and I’m so glad we found them for my sweet buddy!

The whole staff including the doctor is amazing. Very caring and gentle. If your pet is sick, this is the place to go!! I noticed that they have other services , such as a "pet resort" and heard a pet parent discussing the heat. The front desk was quite helpful with information about special precautions taken due to heat. Impressed!
