One of my favorite stores for used CDs. Records are great deals here as well. I tend to skip the books here.

I've been shopping here for over 15 years, and I probably should've written this review ages ago. I absolutely adore Nice Price and the owners Enoch and Brian are really great guys. They sell mostly used books, new and used vinyl, and CDs. They also have a ton of movies on DVD and Blu-Ray, comics and manga, cassettes, and plenty of excellent Nice Price merch.Despite selling a lot of used goods, the selection still feels incredibly well-curated. They make a concerted effort to always keep an eclectic array of new & used vinyl on hand and new stuff is added almost daily. So regardless of whatever obscure sub-genre of music you prefer, you’re bound to find something you like. They can also special-order music for you, which is something I ask them to do pretty frequently. The prices are always comparable or cheaper than what you’d find anywhere else, so there’s really no reason not to.As for parking, I’ve visited Nice Price hundreds of times by now and have never had an issue. There’s an entire lot behind the store which always has empty spaces and there’s some street parking nearby. In recent years, signs have gone up to help prevent people who aren’t customers from parking here. All in all, this is unquestionably my favorite record store in the area, and the only one I frequent anymore. It’s absolutely worth your time to stop in and browse from time to time.

I sold some old DVDs there. They didn't take all of them but they paid a fair price for the ones they did. Great place for albums if you want that too.

My favorite store to visit! I don't always buy something, but just looking at the museum of books, VHS tapes, records, CDs, etc. is just so fun every time! I always go there with a friend and we find much to discuss, and historically I have only really liked selling my label's releases here. Schoolkids doesn't pay you immediately, it goes on consignment and you have to reach out after years to see if it sold, they don't reach to you first. I don't like that model. I also didn't like how I sold a stack of records worth at least $400 to Nice Price recently, and got half that and a "generous" $50 in store credit. This was after waiting what felt like an hour to be priced and during the busy Christmas season, so I knew they'd sell there. When I went later, they were selling them for 4 times as much as they gave me. Sure, I know they need to make profit off of it, but they cheated me, they could have sold it for 2 or 3 times the price and still made a lot, but I could have made more selling them on Craigslist, only going here because I respected them a lot. This isn't a black and white review, I'm still going to do my business there and visit the store, but I still feel cheated getting so little for a stack of rare-ish, some vintage, personally attached, records that I have collected over years. I was quick to just get my money and leave after having had to wait so long.

Nice Price Books in Raleigh is a treasure trove for vinyl enthusiasts and book lovers alike. The staff here are impressively knowledgeable, always ready to assist or offer recommendations. They boast a large and diverse selection, with a particularly great array of pre-owned vinyl records. Browsing through their carefully curated collection is a delightful experience where hours seem to fly by. While the prices can be a bit higher compared to Discogs listings, the quality and variety justify the expense. Additionally, their frequent shopper discounts are a nice perk for regular customers. Overall, it's undoubtedly one of the best stores in Raleigh for those seeking a rich and enjoyable shopping experience.

Very unfair. I came here on black friday and there was a huge line and i understand why. However on the website it said each person can only buy one copy of each vinyl/record. I saw multple people walking out of the store with at least 2 copies of the same vinyl. I know there is nothing they can do about it now. But i think they coulve at least changed how the website said "There is a limit of one copy per title per customer." It was very unfair of people standing in the line for a long time just to not get a vinyl because the store said one per customer.

Good selection. Mostly organized. Books, dvds, records, vhs. Movies were common titles. Lots of wrestling stuff but just for display.

CHEAP RECORDS. Priced to sell. Quickly became my go-to for records in Raleigh; others do not compare. Their used records are literally all steals. Ive gotten soo many legendary records here for $5 or $10, many being sold for their original msrp from decades ago, it is insane. Essentially every other record store is selling far over market price, but Nice Price is the ONLY one that consistently matches, or beats, it. I almost never find a record here that I could buy cheaper online, as new releases are always the a bit under discogs, plus no shipping. I cannot recommend them enough.

This place is great! Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, good ambience. Also, their name isn't Nice Price for nothing--they are super affordable! I love the merch & stickers & keychains, and the magnets being sold to raise money for the Prison Books Collective. I definitely recommend.

Really cool place and I’ve found great stuff here. It’s not super cramped like a lot of other stores like this are- there’s lots of room to browse the books. It’s in a great location too!
