I went to this place of business and I received a full set of gel nails, the young lady was working fast, I told her she was going to fast she cut five of my fingers, so I go a text from the store about the service in which I told the young lady who stated she was the manger that the girl cut my fingers, then under my nails started to turn black, I took the nails off, and I looked it up and it stated it was nail fungus so I text the manger, told her I had nail fungus she said she was sorry, so I tried to treat it myself, then I went to the doctor my doctor told me i need to call the store I went to asap, in which I did, I man name Kevin who stated he was the manger, clearly told me he don't care, I would not go to this place and would not recommend this place for anyone else to go to.. I will be calling the city of Newark..

The worst service ever and then on top of my nail chipping in two days they expected me to pay for it and I had to call the police to get service

They were ok, prices were expensive and nail polish did not last at all. I have had nail polish and this is the only place where it chips off in less than a week. Not worth going unless you have the groupon. If not you will be disappointed.

Great usually but the last time I went the technician wasn't a great nail polisher so she removed polish and I still paid.

This is the absolute worst business. Any time I try going there I get the worst customer service and am never satisfied. I highly recommend you DO NOT go there ever. Worst nail place and business all together.

Service was okay, however I purchased a Groupon Voucher for $30 for a manicure and pedicure. Once completed I gave her voucher code. She insisted that I also tip her $15 (50%). I explained that I can tip her but it doesn't has to be that much. She said yes it does and was upset with me. Again, she said get money out of your pocket and tip me $15. I explained it doesn't have to be $15. She got upset and yelled at me “Don't come back!â€

Wow. If I could give no stars I would. I will preface this with my past experience here, which was fine. I bought a Groupon for a mani/pedi, arrived without an appointment, got seen right away, and was given a good solid service. Tipped them $5 and went on my merry way with a good looking set of nails.

Wow. If I could give no stars I would. I will preface this with my past experience here, which was fine. I bought a Groupon for a mani/pedi, arrived without an appointment, got seen right away, and was given a good solid service. Tipped them $5 and went on my merry way with a good looking set of nails. So I bought the Groupon again on August 30. That day, I called to make an appointment and they said something was broken, they were closing early and would be open tomorrow, I said okay. The next day, I called at 3 pm to schedule my appointment but they were all booked, I was going out of town so I told them that I would just schedule another appointment when I got back. A week ago, I called and no answer. The number that I called then texted me, asking me when I wanted to make an appointment and for what. I said a mani/pedi because I have a Groupon. They quickly replied that they couldn't take Groupons until next week (this week currently) because they were getting a scanner. I'm not sure why they turned me away because I had gone there in the past, like I said, with a Groupon before and they just wrote down the confirmation number. So yesterday, I texted the number and scheduled an appointment for 5:30 pm today, Tuesday. I was so excited that after 3 weeks I can FINALLY get my nails done, relax a little bit, and cash in my Groupon. Boy...was I wrong. I arrive at the salon at 5:20, 10 minutes early. I walk in and there is one woman, currently working on a customer and she was the only person in the salon (the last time I was there, there were 3 workers). She asked me how she could help me and I said I have an appointment at 5:30 for a mani/pedi. She looks at me, dead in the eyes and just says "No". Stunned, I said excuse me? She replied, "You come back tomorrow". I said "No, I am busy tomorrow evening. I have been trying to get an appointment with you all for 3 weeks now and made one yesterday for this evening." She gets up, walks over to the appointment book where it clearly says a manicure and a pedicure Groupon for 5:30. She once again looks at me and says "No, you come back tomorrow". I said "No I won't come back tomorrow. It is very rude and a terrible business tactic for you to constantly push your customers away. Who was texting me? Can I have your managers or owners number or email address so I can resolve this issue?" She, I kid you not, just stopped speaking to me. The poor women in the chair getting a pedicure looked mortified, I probably ruined any chance of her having a relaxing experience. I kept on asking her, "Are you going to acknowledge me?"...no reply. I then said "Okay well I'm going to now contact Groupon and go spend my hard earned money at one of your competitors and then go on Yelp, post a picture of my bare nails explaining that you refused me service. Have a nice day." After I left, I texted the number I had been talking to and said "I just came by and was turned away from my appointment with no resolution. I am happy to contact Groupon and get my money back because I have tried to make an appointment with your business for 3 weeks." And just like the woman that I spoke to, no reply. So here I am telling you my story at Lovely Angel Nails and to beware, Groupon or no Groupon. I'll save you the picture of my bare, un-manicured nails.

I frequently write reviews, and have only written 3 in 10 years... this will make my 4th. When I called to make an appointment, the woman was extremely rude. She hung up before I could give my name. That should have been my red flag, but I decided to go anyway. There were NO other customers when we arrived, but yet the same woman was in a bad mood. I asked her how her day was going, and she barely muttered a word. She rushed through my manicure and pedicure, and was also very rough. I had to ask for something to drink when I know this salon offers you something to drink. When I couldn't decide on a color, she rolled her eyes. At the end, she didn't even try to help me put my flip flops back on and walked away without saying thanks or anything. While at the drying station, she rushed us to get up...I guess so another customer that got a polish change could sit down. After all this poor customer service, she had the nerve to mention getting a tip! WTH? I did give her a very meager one, to which she rolled her eyes at me. I explained to her that I ALWAYS tip well for good service, but do not for poor service. I mentioned everything that occurred and told her she knew exactly what good customer service was. I also mentioned that if I ever returned I would tip at least 20% if the customer service was a higher priority. She walked away again without saying anything. I definitely won't return!
