“Lived next to Roshambo for a couple years, and now that I don’t, I really miss it. They always have a great selection of beer to grab & go, in addition to a good selection on tap. Great place for hanging with a few friends when you don’t want to do something in downtown proper or when you just want to grab something to drink at home. Some days they’ll even host food trucks or burger tents, but they’re also within walking distance of other food options if you’re wanting a meal and a drink.”

“I went this past Sunday not knowing they were closing early. I was 10 mins away so that meant when I got there at 6:55 there's a chance they would already be closed but they are the only place with the wine I like so I took my chances... I made it! By the time I grabbed my wine and checked out it was 7 exactly. I was leaving and a man pulled up to go into the store and I was like oh no he's not gonna make it. But a manager (I think) let him in and didn't turn him away and he did it with a smile. I just thought that was so kind of them! So shout-out to him! The customer service is great and everyone always speaks! Love this location!”

“Located off Davis Cir and Glenwood Ave.I posted the sign with days and hours. Apparently these ABC stores are state run or have some kind of regulations so their prices are better than other liquor stores. I thought online I saw that they have wine and beer but in the store I only saw liquor and mixers. They have a huge bourbon selection. The people weee friendly here.”
“I was searching everywhere for a certain bottle of wine they happened to have. I called the store and they were kind enough to rush ship it to me so it would reach me in time for an event for my wife. After issues on the shipping company’s end, and a late delivery, they spent a full month dealing with the shipping company to fully refund my shipping cost. Very grateful for their service and for how kind and personable Ben and team were throughout this. Thank you!”
“I have been wanting to visit this place for almost a year, since I found them on the internet. I finally got the chance to visit while in the area for an event. Craig the owner, was the best, we geeked out on bitters. Love chatting with people that are weird like me and live bitters. They carry their brand Crude and many others across the US. We got a tour and got to sample bitters to purchase. They even do bitters classes, I will need to come back for those in the near future. They also sell cocktail supplies. They have a small parking lot, but they are next to Burial Beer and there is street parking and a paid parking lot across the street. Go get you some bitter love at the Bittery, cheers!”

“I went here looking for a specific mint drink for a recipe. I looked around some but couldn't find what I was looking for so I asked an employee. He was very helpful and check to see what other stores in the area carried what I was looking for. The person checking us out was also very friendly and kind. The store was very clean and orderly as well.”

“When I used to go to this store, it was a lot of hit and miss and trying to find things that took a lot of time. However, this time, I went with this chain's app on my phone and this location chosen. It accurately showed all items' locations by aisle and bin correctly so things were easy to shop for and find. The staff there has always been knowledgeable and helpful as well. Now, with the app available, they will be my go-to store for wine and more.”

“This is an awesome wine bar. We didn't get to anything this time, but we did watch a wine tasting for a minute for a minute, and the Sommelier was very passionate about the wine. He was using a laser pointer and showing where the wines are from on the large maps on the wall. The charcuteries looked amazing. We really want to come back.”

“Recently started shopping here as relocated to the area. The produce is usually very fresh, love the prepped fruit & veggies. The guys in the meat department are fantastic and always helpful. They will approach you, if it looks like you are confused or looking for something.
I had a great experience at your bakery on Tuesday. Wasn’t sure what size cake I should purchase or the different flavors they offer. However, a young lady Alyssa helped me out. Very patient with me being I was extremely confused. The family loved the cake that evening. Always enjoy the different departments and all their offerings. Never leave empty handed!”
“Such a cool spot to try a variety of beers from different regions. Ashley, was phenomenal! They also offered a HUGE selection of beer to take home. Next time I am in Raleigh, I’m visiting the Hop Yard again!!!”
“When I walked in the door we were greeted nicely. The store is very clean, and they have a bunch of different varieties of alcohol. The alcohols are very organized! The guys that work in there are really nice and helpful.”
“Had a wonderful time here. The staff was beyond friendly and knowledgeable.Did a wine tasting and there was a large selection to choose from. They also serve your tasting in nice glasses which makes a difference.Snacks were also offered.They just made it feel like home and it was far from some of the other snooty wine places I’ve visited.They had a different selection of wines that you can’t find in your supermarket.Fun area that you can walk to a few places.Would recommend and I will be back.”

“Been going to this store for 12 years. Im always treated kindly, respectfully,given recommendations on new flavors to try, shown sale items etc. Saw a review on here saying this store is racist against whites. I'm white and over the years a few patrons has scowled at me but staff have never been bad to me in any way whatsoever”
“I stopped in here on a whim as I was visiting a friend in the area and I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing array of options that were available! It was (unfortunately) so easy to find so many items that I wanted that I bought way too much lol!!! They gave me a wine bag (which is a lifesaver when the other option is a plastic bag) and sent me on my way. I've gotta say, I knew it was a winner when I saw the yelpie award behind the counter when I was cashing out. I love that!!! I showed up at my friend's house, she saw the wine bag and noted that's she's been wanting to go there forever!!! I love when a business knows what they're doing with marketing and the results are so immediate. I hope she goes over there, I hope everyone does because it's a great business to support in my opinion”

“One of the best ABC locations in the state! Always seem to have the newest products and the staff are friendly, personable and knowledgeable about the offerings. Even though I live several counties away, I always try to stop by this particular store when I'm in the area. Tip: if you're looking for a specific seasonal item (ie: Ciroc summer series or Crown Peach, etc) find out which day the truck arrives and visit around 1pm on truck day. This tip applies at any ABC store. Truck day is your best bet for the widest selection.”
