Will never be returning here. The people who work here clearly have an issue with Black people. I notice that in the reviews the people who are saying “great service” or “nice cashier” are every other race but black. When my mom and I walked in here, the guy who I assume owns the place immediately starts staring us down. As seen in previous comments, there were 2 men who immediately started following us around and were pretending they were looking for something. The owner was standing in our way and we politely said “excuse me” and he didn’t even acknowledge us and slowly moved out of our way. No one greeted us or said good morning and there was one point where I guess our presence was so unbearable he just blatantly stopped everything he was doing to stare us down. It’s really sad that us black people are very welcoming of other races and enjoy sharing our cultures but other races seem to have an issue doing the same with us. And you have some nerve to be willing to take our money but yet can’t stand us in your store. I will make sure to tell everyone I know to never come here as there are several other nicer and more welcoming Asian markets.

Extremely rude. I was enjoying the store and wanted to take photo of variety of hot sauces, to share what I discovered for the first time and they motioned me to leave the store like they didn’t know English at all. It was my first time there, and I wanted to brag to everybody about my proud cultural discovery, ala Anthony Bourdain. They were quite cruel to me as actually going to promote them as a destinations spot. Two thumbs down.

I’m sure this is a good market for anyone other than black. They were so worried about seeing what I was doing, that 2 young men almost ran into me in the aisle. Then they pretended to act like one was showing the other one where a product was. I put EVERYTHING back and left. I’m sorry that your experiences have made you distrustful of melanated folks. Your past experiences are not reason enough to treat a whole race badly. I am from Trinidad and got excited to see that your market carried lots of products from my country. I was there to spend my hard earned money. I will not return.

It's a small independent owned Vietnamese grocery store. I was surprised how adequate selection this store is. Their item selection is good. I was able to find some famous national brands their. Especially, they sell South East Asian herbs that suitable for Vietnamese and Thai cuisines.

Overpriced but it is a convenient location for me. Double check your receipt because the clerk types in the prices individually.

Horrible customer service and overpriced. Anyone looking for asian stores in raleigh go to saigon supermarket on new hope rd. amazing southeast asian products and variety of foods, plus they have so many unique items. Que huong is a vietnamese based store they are super nice and helpful and have all your basics and fresh veggies. Han a reum on spring forest rd family own korean supermarket so friendly. Do yourself a happy shopping experience and go to those places. Any questions ask me;)

Went to this store early in January, purchased two items (rice and miso). When balancing my checkbook I noticed that I was charged twice for the same purchase. The owner had a problem trying to use the credit card machine which I thought was unusual. I waited several business days to see if the charge would get re-credited which did not occur. Called the store and was told by the owner to come by and they would give me a credit. When I arrived (after traveling 30 miles), they refused to give me a credit despite my getting charged twice. While they did provide information on their books that only one debit went through, I took that information to my bank and as of today (almost three weeks later) they are not going to give me my money either nor file a fraud charge against the market because it was less than $50.00. Called the market again yesterday hoping the owners daughter would call me back (her English is better than her mom's who works the front register), and make amends (perhaps give me more rice and miso) but of course, I never got a call back. So, I'm out due to this stores incompetence at using a credit card machine. Bottom line, I'll never shop here again. You shouldn't either. As for the place itself, its dark and dingy and actually quite dirty. Produce doesn't look fresh and the rice I enjoy eating wasn't on their shelves and I had to wait two weeks before it came in. And, when the rice did come in, they didn't set it off to the side for me to pick up. They basically restocked their shelves. They had one bag of my rice left so I was fortunate to get there when I did. As a newbie to North Carolina, I wasn't impressed. These guys lost a potential long time customer.
