“A knowledgeable friend provided me with this company as a possible purchaser of my coins. The experience was excellent. The value of each coin was explained professionally.”
“Been a few years since I went in to look at comics and this place is still great. I love that the staff like to talk shop and engage with their customers. This is the classic comicbook shop every city should have. Thanks for all your help today.”
“I started collecting silver coins, both rounds and bullion as well as 1 ounce bars and some smaller fractional pieces last year. I think at this point I know more than the average person, but today I learned that I know about as much as a preschooler does compared to Doc, one of the owners.I did not expect to spend the better part of an hour and a half after working speaking to Doc and some of the other customers there, but I couldn’t tear myself away. I got A mere peak into Doc’s life as he told me about various experiences and careers he’s had, all while explaining the history and the definitions of different types of bullion.I would pick up piece after peace having different questions about each one, and he would be able to talk in-depth about everything I touched and pointed to and answer all of my questions.I had never seen most of these coins in person before, seated and standing liberties and so many others, and do explained that they visit a lot of coin shows so a lot of the good stuff is absent at the moment. Well, I’m excited for when I am back in the area and can visit again, further our discussions and conversation, as well as check out all of the other treasures that are currently absent. If you appreciate history, want to learn about different coins, or bounce ideas off of someone, we just have a good 30 minutes to an hour to spend looking through treasures, then rear coins of Raleigh is definitely the spot for you.I left with two rounds which I’ve posted on Google Photos under the business. I’m very happy to add them to my collection and they will be pocket coins that I rotate, able to pull one out the instant anyone I come across either brings up investments or hobbies, or gives me any other reason to show them a piece of silver. It’s really cool stuff and it’s a really cool place.”
“Very helpful staff, friendly environment. When raccoon feels like visiting, he adds a level of welcoming to the store as he lays in the middle of the floor Watching you with idle curiosity. Good prices, fun place to sit when I've nothing to do.”
“We went for our first time today and had a pleasant experience. Loved the smell of the shop too. The candle scents are amazing. Great choice of manga, snacks and cosplay costumes.”
“Definitely the superior game store in Raleigh. Extremely overpriced but the structure and vibes make up for it. I wish that for their commander free play they would do a sign up sheet though so you’re not wandering around asking if anyone would play with you.”
“Employees were friendly and helpful. We traded in an older Switch for a Switch OLED and they were very accommodating of us staying to do the system transfer before handing over the old Switch and leaving.”
“Dealing with Brad and Dan was a terrific experience!I recently inherited some gold and coins (US and foreign). Now, what I know about valuing coins and gold is, well, next to nothing. I was clearly playing in their ballpark. Sure, I did my due diligence to see generally speaking what I might expect to get for these items. Boy, one coin on eBay was anywhere from $250-$900. Anyway, long story short I was able to come up with values that seemed reasonable then subtracting what I thought their overhead might be and came away with a general idea in my head as to the selling prices for my stuff.I met with Don, their chief numismatist. He’s been in the business for decades, and did I get a lesson on just not my gold and coins, but a lot of other fascinating information as well. It turns out that I was pretty darn close on the value of my coins and gold. Overestimated on some got more for others. And, surprisingly, I overestimated their margin.I felt respected as a complete and utter novice, treated very well, received more than a fair amount for my coins and gold and received a terrific education to boot.”
“My Daughter absolutely loved this store. She went in and purchased about 10 anime Books!! They had all the ones she was looking for. The store clerk was nice and told us about the perks program and events coming soon.Me not being a anime fan myself per se, I appreciate that the books were organized based off mature material as well, and the clerk checked to inform me how to make sure we were buying appropriate aged books!! Thanks!”
“This new location of Michael's is simplified and cleaner. It is a lot easier to walk around and find items now in the store. They did use to carry a lot more brands of different items, and I think this is what caused it to feel a bit full. Now, there is less, but it does not feel as overwhelming. My son and I enjoyed our time walking around the store looking at different items together.”
“Pretty well stocked from what I seen. My only hiccup was them not having a better variety of the testors paint products for model kits. They only have a small selection to choose from.”
“The place was clean the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They had a little bit of everything so whatever you're into they have it and if the don't they'll direct you to where you can find it,”
