You can find what you are looking for here. I did. I just didn’t know what I was looking for. Be honest!

A human being needs at least four ounces of meat, preferably from a ruminate, three times a day. And cream, what rises to the top, like silver chippers.

I have been assisting a homeless gentleman obtain housing, and when signing him up for utilities, found out he was in arrears for a substantial amount for a past residence. He mentioned it to Healing Transitions, and they immediately stepped up to assist him and pay the entire bill so that he could be able to move in. They reacted immediately, which was crucial in the situation. What a compassionate organization! I can’t say enough about them…

I attended Healing Transitions in February 2009, till June 2010! This past February I celebrated 14 years clean and sober after abusing alcohol and hard drugs for almost 35 years. Since leaving Healing Transitions I have been a father, brother and true friend that people can rely upon. I have worked in the treatment industry since 2010 with over ten years of managing sober living, over ten years of working in detox, & over 8 years and currently still working at a treatment center. I credit my entire life and all that I have accomplished as the result of spending 15 months at Healing Transitions. Recently, I had a previous client at the treatment center I currently work at reach out to me, and tell me that she sees God through my eyes!I have devoted my life to trying to help the next sick & suffering addict and have worked on the front lines helping others because Healing Transitions gave me back my life, and it is the only way I can try & repay all that they did for me. Healing Transitions has not only given me my life back, but I have made some life long friends that will be best friends until the day I die. I am extremely grateful for my time there & the fact that they never gave up on me . I cannot recommend Healing Transitions enough if you are looking to try & turn your life around. I know it was the only thing that worked for me !!!!

The worst place I have ever been too. They talk to you like you are worthless a the food they feed you be old. I caught food poison. The people in the program will steal your belongings and the people in charge will do nothing about it. Showers are filthy an the kitchen is to with rats in the back of the kitchen. This place needs to be inspected.

Recovery like most change is not easy yet I've found the Healing Transitions a remarkable gateway to any and all regardless of race, age, gender, religion or lack or religion an open door to all who wish to journey on the path of sober living and a life full of service to others while establishing ones self into the broader community of humanity. Healing Transitions has lead me to a life I could have never imagined over the last 22 years when I arrived shortly after there doors opened, including but limited to full time employment with the State of NC over 20 years, tax payer rather than consumer of government services, advocate for treatment and recovery services in Wake County and beyond, along with numerous interactions of service with other community based change agents. Thank you Healing Transitions for all you do and for keeping the doors open for treatment services on demand for those yet to come.

Healing Transitions embodies having an open door as many times as it takes, no matter what. They're the epitome of grace, and our community depends on them for recovery and emergency overnight shelter services. HT really is the last house on the block!

It's an extremely difficult program. You have to really want recovery and be willing to put the work in to get through this program. The fact that you can't work for 9 months is counter productive. There is no family program and no telephone (7 minutes a day.) Family means nothing. A support system outside of the facility is important. These guys need to know that they are loved, missed and supported in all they do. This is an important part of recovery. It's jail with AA meetings. Great thing is you can always go back if you leave. They don't give up all hope.

Went here to the woman’s center to detox off of opiates. Was there for a day, because the director was very rude to me. She caught an attitude, because I asked to get my vitals checked after being there all day with no one asking me if I am okay or checking my vitals. Later on she then tells me to move where I am sitting so she could talk to co-workers about other women there in a negative way behind their backs. The place was very sketchy and I would not recommend as there are many, much better, options. I did not feel safe, comfortable, or as though anyone working there cared about me and my health.

This place is a shelter for convicts and homeless people. This is not a place for rehabilitation for average people to get help from drug addiction, like my brother was led to believe. It's more of a Ponzi scheme, you'll underatand how this place works if you go there.

This place is in the business of keeping addicts in the cycle of addiction by providing limited access to information for additional components to recovery beside the offered therapeutic community approach. Often dismissing willing and wanting participants from the program for seeking alternative/additional resources for successful recovery outside of what Healing Transitions may offer. As a participant whom had to almost go to the board of directors just to rectify the issues of a lack of licensed clinicians and therapist on staff at the women's facility which as of current knowledge there still are none to few helps highlight why the program lacks the success and impact it could have on the community. Substance abuse kills but a lack of knowledge and comprehensive care combined with a highschool mentality culture that does not keep the issue of helping and serving as many people as possible in the utmost capacity sends good candidates for life long recovery back to the hopelessness that entities like the Healing Transitions community is there to heal. I have had a many of friends/participants from the program pass away since my stay at "HT" It may work for some but per Capita vast majority of people even according to Mr. Chris Budnick are just using the shelter for that purpose, to have a place to stay not seek recovery which is often made much harder by the non-licensed, non-clinical staff knowingly allowing illicit drug use to occur on Healing Transitions property. Count the in house overdoses and check the pictures off all the reported people whom have passed away when you check in to facility before making HT your ultimate source to seek the recovery every addict deserves.
