Regular shopper at several HTs but tonight's combination annoyances at Stonehenge led to a review.
I realize there are less shoppers at night, but 9:15pm is still early for a segment of the population that either just got off work or likes to do groceries after kids are in bed.
HT should reconsider its self checkout policies when there are no registers being offered to customers. I had a decent amount of groceries tonight which required me to self check out 3 different times since you cant remove items and there was no more room on the scale. The HT employee stood staring at me while chatting on her phone with airpods in as I loaded and unloaded the scales and my cart multiple times. I have been to other stores at night, ie Food Lion which lets you scan multiple items and remove bags without the constant warnings and Lowes Food on strickland and HT on Millbrook where they have shown some curtesy and opened a register to check out and sped up the process while I bagged the groceries. Maybe a discount could be provided to 100% self service customers?
There are cameras above you the entire time, they could implement alcohol ID checks remotely via camera and then no employees would be needed after 9pm. This would be a better option than visually seeing them there offering no help.
With several decent options within a couple miles, its worth checking out other places if going after hours.

Katherine helped us over at the deli. She was awesome and super helpful. I wanted the salsarito chicken, they discontinued it she knew what I was referring to. She was super friendly also.

Came to this Harris Teeter to get my son a sandwich and they were out of a meat. Justin at the deli and who also works pizza. Went above and beyond to make sure my son got the sandwich he wanted. Thank you Justin

It really upsets me to post this review. I was employed at a Charlotte Harris Teeter at 15 and it was an amazing work experience. I have always championed Harris Teeter. They had pride in their work and they had pride in their prices. I was also a huge Kroger fan, when they were here in the Triangle and was devastated when they converted their stores to Harris Teeters. I am hestitant to shop here because I can't justify paying 6 dollars for a pound of grapes and 10 dollars for a 12 pack of Coke. Add, the fact that their self check-out is agonizing and takes forever. I have sat there for 10 minutes, multiple times, waiting for someone to notice that I need help to correct a miscalculation or kiosk malfunction. I really hope Harris Teeter improves their prices and their check out processes.

5 Stars for the Bakery! I had mistakenly ordered a cookie cake for Veterans Day thinking it was same day order so when I got there it was not ready (24 hrs for custom orders so it was set for next day). A sweet lady came out from her lunch break to make the cookie cake for me and I can’t thank her enough! I didn’t get her name, but kudos for great customer service! Thank you!

I was shopping in the frozen foods section when i needed some help getting an item off of the top shelf. An employee named John walked by and i asked did he work here. He said not at thus store ma'am but how can i help you? I said nevermind and he insisted that it would his pleasure to help me. He put his books that were in his hads down and proceeded to get the item I needed down for me. This gentlemen helped me even though he did not work at thus store. Excellent customer service! This is just one reason i so at Harris Teeter.
