Shows prices, asked to confirm then when at check out they “like it also” so the price isn’t the same. Very strange, almost criminal.

Dealing with the Mgr. Luis T at ReStore/gleenwood
My wife buys a fully assembled bedframe with slats on the showroom floor and reiterated a problem to the staff we previously had at this store of missing and wrong sized slats... which took 3 trips to fix and asked to make sure we get one 100% all together and fitment was checked, so we don't go through that again. Paid for a set item on 03/01/2024, I go to pick up on 03/02 the next day. they had it bundled up in the rear and loaded it on the truck, I asked if they would assemble it first? They pulled it off the truck and sure enough the slats don't fit!! Lisa sees me and with a shocking look shakes her head...Get Josh involved, apologetic very nice. They tell me their repair guy will be there weds 6th and will get it corrected. He texts Mon 4th and says it's all done. I told him I will pick up sat 9th. Sat the 9th pouring rain all day. I called the store 5 times throughout the day, and nobody picked up. I show up Mon 11th. to pick up, they can't find it (the bed set). Well, it's sitting reassembled on the floor for sale again. "My paid unit!" and they lost the slats that were made for it. Manager Luis T. gets involved, he finds some slats and cuts them to fit making a few comments about how this is not his job and that slats don't come with the bed. Quoting to me "I'm going to have a meeting with these employees about this". I told him of my past experience and said that is the reason why we picked this bed unit... So, he went and cut me 3 slats. I mentioned to him the bed came with 5 could you please do at least one more if not 5 so the bed box would not fall through. He grunted and told me 3 was enough! I said then if so why are all the other beds have 5 look around your showroom? He said OK, but "I need you to go to the cashier and pay for the bed!" I gasped and said it was paid for. Then he said Well "then you need to pay for storage on the bed!!. I chuckled and I said I'm not paying any storage on this fiasco, that is your team's fault. He quoted the printed company policy on the receipt about items left in the store. I told him it's not going to happen. "I said please do the right thing Luis and take care of your customer and de-escalate the situation and refer to proper customer service. Do not go down the path you are choosing. You are not happy handing this and feel maybe it's beneath you and you feel if I'm asking for too much of your time. And you feel the need to stick it to me in some way and charge a fee to make you feel better. And I told him I called sat 5 times and said here i can show you on my phone history no one picked up. He said he didn't care. I pay the storage fee or take a refund.!! I said to him calmly this is not going to happen. I said in a calm voice Luis!!! do the right thing!!!, rethink your course of thinking and de- escalate this. This is in no way the correct way to handle this!! He paused and said fine!!!! After I cut the next board it's a done deal and you go! THE END Now if you read all this, beware I kept a calm composer and smiled the whole time and did not ramp it up in any form. I know today's society is different from my upbringing one values their job, character and performance. This manager has a lot to learn and how can he lead a team? Be aware of Luis T. and is customer service tactics?

Before purchasing anything, check if Amazon has a better price. I found a LOT of the same furniture at a lower cost brand new. I literally laughed out loud at their ridiculous prices!

Prices on furniture are very excessive. $300 for a stained armchair. They should not be charging the same furniture prices as a Target. That being said, their building materials and parts section is well stocked and reasonably priced.

Place has a little bit of everything, but be prepared to bring your credit card.. most things here are overpriced including some chipped plates and some stained furniture. Place is definitely not for everyone.

They are very very overpriced. Who ever prices the items does not have a clue to reality. I have found several items that are less when bought new from retail places. It's a shame to because I have written the main ReStore office about their prices and did not get a response at all from them. I use to buy from them often but now I don't even bother to shop at any of their locations. I like to help elderly people with home repairs free of charge and I use to save by buying second hand from ReStore. Now I just go buy new from retail. When I was able to save I could do more for the elderly. ReStore is not the only one doing this high pricing. Goodwill is also maxing out prices.

I like the selection here but the prices have gotten crazy. $10 for a plate, $300+ for furniture, $30 for small paintings. This is a thrift store not an antique shop… you get the items for free…

Tight parking spot. Store is well maintained and organized. Couches as low as $35. Plates, books, glasses- whatever household things you need including TVs. Some antiques. Friendly staff.

I love thrifting, especially if it benefits important causes, but I don’t understand the pricing system here. I wouldn’t pay $75+ for bookcases or nightstands that are extremely wobbly or dented. I would say that only about 25% of the items here are priced appropriately (according to my standards and familiarity with the used furniture market). You’re much more likely to get a better bang for your buck by using Facebook marketplace or OfferUp.

Looking for affordable, second-hand, household furniture? Certainly check them out. If you like doing fixer uppers on furniture here is also a good spot.Customer service is always friendly as well. And there are always really good gems between all of the items if you scope it out well enough.Really good options if you're on a budget. But you'll need to take your time to browse to find the good stuff.
