Extremely clean store. But evidently they had all the workers I saw that kept walking by assigned to everything but the front register, as a lady with a small child and I waited 20 minutes before o e of the workers finally came to the register. Several customers came into the store, saw this, put their goods down and left without purchasing anything. I like to shop at goodwill when I can because I believe in the mission. Just not at this location.

It was okay. Not too much stuff. Idk why all the Goodwills here are so quiet. Rusted. Overpriced. Typical Goodwills nowadays

I find men’s and women’s pants inner mingled which is frustrating. I totally hate those big tables for clothes/ linens. I spend half of my time tossing clothes from one table to another. I miss how Charlotte and Huntersville Goodwills hung up EVERYTHING, even placemats.

The selection was fine, but the whole building smelled strongly of feces. The only area that didn't was the back section with the dishes. I worry there's a sewage problem. We held our breath, it was so bad

Husband and I went to Goodwill looking for a used dresser since they are listed on Yelp's used furniture page. This Goodwill location doesn't sell any furniture. They have lots and lots of clothes that are very well organized by color but not by size. I gave them a star because it might be worth it to come looking for clothes. But they shouldn't claim they sell used furniture and waste people's time coming to look at what they don't have.

I'm a professional thrift store shopper who redesigns clothes and accessories and sells them to friends. I spend LOTS of money there. I did anyway. Around the corner from my house was part of its convenience. When last in three, I was told that I had better not be taking anything without paying for it. They followed me around the store. Making me feel uncomfortable and unwanted. I had a good feeling about the girl at the register and told her how I felt.. she said the staff hated me and for NO REASON. I told her I didn't and wouldn't steal. With that, I appreciated her kindness and honesty. I slipped her a $50 in her wheel well , she deserves to be treated fairly as well as customers do, she wasn't... hope she's moved on and out of there.. also, the staff goes through everything and take for themselves the good things that they feel entitled to. Just a heads up

Clean, but I never understood stores that don't separate the clothes by size. This one has several racks of non-solid-color women's shirts, for instance, but no separation by size or sleeve length. It's not fun to go through.

Very average Goodwill, hits and misses. I will say this store is very neat, organized, and clean. Ms. Pam is helpful and reasonable. I will visit again.

Average goodwill. Meaning lots of clothes, but quite pricey and organized poorly. Found some great stuff in here over the years.

I dropped off my trusty old Travelpro roller bag at this Goodwill on Garrett Road in southwest Durham. The bag itself was in excellent condition except for the wheels which were missing their "tires" and therefore, the bag was relatively loud and a little bumpy when rolled. Like other Goodwill stores, this one has a separate door for donations, separate from the main retail store front doors. Goodwill is a no-brainer for off-loading items that are still in good condition and usable. During my visit, the hours listed on the donation door were: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-8:30pm Saturday, 9:00am-6:00pm Sunday, 12:00pm-6:00pm The donation drop-off area at this Goodwill is a narrow hallway with bins. When I showed up around 4:30pm on a Sunday, this location was busy with both donation drop-offs and customers going to the store. A young couple ahead of me dropped off a bunch of textbooks. I didn't know Goodwill accepted textbooks. I learned something new. A lady rolled up behind me in a Tesla SUV with a trunkful of stuff to give away including a floor lamp. There was one employee working the donation area. It wasn't clear where exactly to place donation items. No signs/instructions or anything, at least not that I saw. It looked like everything was being placed in the bins. I asked the employee if I should place my bag in one of the bins and he took the bag from me. I thanked him. If my wife and I need to give away any usable items in the future, I'll definitely keep this Goodwill location in mind. This Goodwill location is part of the Goodwill Industries of Eastern NC ("GIENC") network. There are over 40 GIENC locations, from Hillsborough to Calabash. In addition to this Garrett Road location, Durham has two other GIENC stores at 5267 North Roxboro Road and 5200 Wake Forest Road.

This was the best goodwill when it opened a couple years ago, now its just as effortless as the rest. Looks exactly the same everytime i go back, shelves are minimally stocked. When will goodwill hire enough employees to move the mountains of donations in the back room?
