Hired this company because they have an awesome flat rate and comparable hourly rate to other moving companies the deposit was easy. We had everything packed expect the tv’s which was our fault but they came with what was supposed to be protective covering for the tv’s. Cons: 1. Receive a call with timing 3x and ran over the time promised. 2. Payment is made through Zelle, Cash app, Venmo. 2. Upon arrival they seemed overwhelmed which was not their fault I did warn Mr Nick we had a lot of stuff and still sent only 2 people. 3. Rushed for payment for payment. 4. My tv was was damaged and no one has yet to get back to me about my damaged item. Pros: 1. Got to work upon arrival. 2. Moved as quick as possible to get the job done. 3. Communication was awesome. 4. Were patient when we had issue with the apartment we were moving into.Update: I just unwrapped our last tv and my tv has been completely broken screen is black would never ever hire this company again! If I don’t get a response soon will me making this a legal matter

Family Movers sent a great crew to help with our move. The crew worked quickly and carefully and were very polite.

From the beginning phone call Malina was kind, courteous and understanding as my needs and situations kept changing. After researching a few companies I kept coming back to Malina. She is the reason I chose Family Movers.The day of the move, Chris aka Buddy, called me in advance and gave me additional options I hadn’t had before. He was mindful of my time, money and task at hand. He showed up with a third guy as it makes the move so much smoother and efficient and it indeed was. Chris and his crew felt like they became family in a way. We spent some time together talking and chatting about life and work. These Brothers worked hard for their money and I appreciate them for it. We parted with the feeling when it’s time to move again, I will call Family Movers and hopefully Chris and his crew will come to my rescue??

We moved from Raleigh to Charlotte, the company was very professional, I personally had no issues. It was very easy keeping in touch when I had questions. Everything stayed well protected and wrapped.

Simple:2 man job to move a small office that I moved by myself originally.I would of moved myself, but had recent surgery.They showed up with 4 movers for a 2.5 hour distance.Quote was $1600.00.Final bill $5690.00.Scam Artist and I only paid them because female Operation Manager was alone and could not do the work hersel.

After speaking to four different moving companies, we decided to use the movers near me in North Raleigh. Michael came out to give us an moving estimate and sounded like he has been in the business for a while. Best thing is they offer flat rate.On the day of the move,my movers crew was Chris, John and Mike, who could not be any nicer. We had them load a rental truck, since we were driving to CaliforniaIt is not clear to me that if we tried to load the truck ourselves, they would’ve never been able to fit. These guys used every single inch of available space and saved us from having to drive a second truck, which would’ve been a big hassle.Money well spent!

Family Movers ExpressDid an outstanding job on 20 February 2023 Chris & William Did an excellent & Carful Job moving my stuff to Storage. When it’s time to get my stuff out of storage I will definitely ask for them.

Great guys, moved us to Wilmington. Nick who is also a Realtor was very experienced, and helped us list our home for sale too. All furniture were put together, and loaded properly in our storage facility. We will be using them again for our move to Myrtle beach

The movers were very professional and efficient. I've never seen movers wrap everything so carefully and extensively. I was going to hire a junk removal service but surprise, they do that, too. They even bundled it into the move last minute. It was a bit more pricey than I really wanted once I added on the junk removal but Nick cut the price in half for me which was super nice. Really enjoyed these guys. I've hired movers a few times and these guys are the top for me. Thanks for the help!

I hired this company a week ago and spoke to Nick, paid my deposit. Then received an email stating that the movers will arrive between 8-10am, it's 7pm now and no movers. received one call from Nick around 10:45 am and he said the truck had trouble on the highway and they movers are waiting for repairs. He promised to call back with updates, but never heard beach from him. called numerous time and I got only the answering machine and could not leave a message. i wrote emails and finally got a call from one of the movers, nice guy and very polite but he was on a job and he said that he will come to move me once he is done with his current move. I'm writing this review and it's passed 7pm now. please do not use this company. i was advised by the property management to report them to the North Carolina Utilities Commission.
